Gertrude nodded. "Yeah, I know about that. A woman from our village was badly burned in a fire, and the scars on her face were severe. She used Jade Glow Balm, and it healed her completely!"
Gertrude had even seen her at a party celebrating the kids going off to college. She looked fantastic, much more confident than before.
That woman used to hide from every social event when she had those scars. Now? Jade Glow Balm changed all that. Safe to say it's one of the best things to come out of this century.
"Do you know who invented Jade Glow Balm?" Elsa asked.
Gertrude shook her head. She'd never paid attention to that detail.
Elsa said, "It was Miss Gonzales!"
Gertrude was stunned. "So, Jade Glow Balm is also from Gonzales Holdings?"
"That's right."
Elsa continued, "And remember Miss Palmer, the noble from Valerium? She had a rare disease, and Miss Gonzales was the one who cured her! To repay her, Miss Palmer gave Miss Gonzales the Palmer family's crest."
"Basically, Miss Gonzales is a complete legend. I'd heard she also got an early admission to The Capital University, but I never imagined that Charis was the Miss Gonzales!"
It just didn't add up.
The Miss Gonzales of legend was a genius who single-handedly restored Gonzales Holdings to its former glory and developed a miracle cream that helped countless people disfigured by accidents.
She wasn't just smart; she was an icon, a role model parents used when lecturing their own children.
This was The Capital, after all.
It was unlikely Charis would have the nerve to falsely claim such a prominent identity.
Gertrude couldn't help but retort, "Who says growing up in the countryside gives you bad habits? Charis is just plain uncultured and rude. People from my village are more polite than her."
Elsa tapped her chin thoughtfully. "But she's definitely rich! Her family must be the wealthiest out of all of us in this dorm, right? She gives away bracelets worth thousands without a second thought and supposedly treated Yvette and Nicolette to an Omakase dinner that costs over three thousand per person. Who else but Miss Gonzales could be so generous with her friends?"
As far as Elsa was concerned, Charis had to be Miss Gonzales.
"Charis?" Caitlin smoothed down her face mask, which had wrinkled a bit. She looked at Yvette, her voice flat and emotionless. "Funny, I don't recall hearing that Charis had somehow become Miss Gonzales."

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
