Chapter 918
Decider One looked at Hayley with glowing eyes.
“That’s because you still don’t understand the true nature of evolution.

“Hurnans are merely carriers of genes. Through the exchange of genetic material between two individuals, new genetic combinations are created, and evolution occurs. Arits core, evolution is simply the exchange of information.
“Zombies are capable of information exchange as well. They’ve discarded weak human genes and evolved crystal cores instead. When crystal cores exchange information with one another, entirely new individuals can be born.
“For example, a fire-element zombie contains fire energy within its crystal core, while a water-element zombie carries water energy within its own. Once the two crystal cores complete an exchange of information, both zombies obtain each other’s data. That is zombie evolution.
“No reproduction required. Evolution can happen directly.
“We’ve already proven the theory. Serum X is a zombie evolution serum designed specifically to help zombies exchange information and evolve.”
Hayley stood frozen where she was, her eyes widening in shock.
Zombie evolution.
So this was the evolution they were talking about. 2
Decider One waved a hand lightly, and the darkness surrounding them instantly disappeared.
The black floor beneath Hayley’s feet became transparent like glass.
Below it lay countless laboratories. Every single room was packed with zombies. Researchers in white lab coats moved busily between them, conducting experiment after experiment.
Then Hayley noticed one laboratory erupt into cheers.
Inside, a researcher injected a zombie with Serum X. Moments later, the zombie awakened a completely new gift.
Decider One continued calmly, “Now, back to our earlier discussion.
“You said you couldn’t understand other forms of civilization, but civilization itself has always contained enormous barriers between species. Ants cannot comprehend human civilization. Moss cannot comprehend ant civilization. The differences between civilizations can be immeasurable.
“When you look up into the night sky, perhaps an entire nebula is itself a form of higher civilization.
“Humanity’s no different from ants trying to understand the cosmos, the same way you can’t understand zombie civilization yet. The fact that humans still carry this much confidence despite that is honestly ridiculous.”
Hayley stood there silently, still processing his words.
When Decider One saw her fall silent, the smile on his face only grew warmer.
“Our mission is to guide zombies through the earliest stages of evolution,” he said. “And we welcome exceptional individuals like you to join us in creating a brand-new civilization, 7913.”
At the sound of that final sentence, Hayley fell silent for three full seconds before finally lifting her head.
“So when do we start?”
This time, even Decider One looked briefly stunned by how straightforward she sounded

He studied her carefully, and it seemed as though suspicion flickered through his mind for a moment. But when he met Hayley’s bright, unwavering gaze, he smiled again.
“I knew you weren’t one of those ignorant, backward humans. As long as you’re willing, I can arrange your evolution very soon.”
“Wait.” Hayley interrupted him. “If I become a zombie, doesn’t that technically make me your boss?”
“Of course.” Decider One’s expression turned almost reverent. “You are the greatest creation Ascendant Creed has ever produced. We will spare no effort in turning you into the strongest leader possible.”
“In that case,” Hayley said casually, “gather everyone here first. If I’m evolving, then I want to do it in front of all of you. After all, your future leader deserves a proper welcome.”
Decider One stared at her for several seconds, something flickering through his aged eyes.
