The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 922

Chapter 922

Hayley gave each of the three men an emergency pill.

The one she had beaten up the worst got two, along with a layer of Valenex spread over his injuries.

Anything produced by the system was top-tier stuff. Before long, the three men who had been barely clinging to life were already recovering at a visible speed.

After they stabilized, all three of them looked at Hayley with complicated expressions.

“Staring at me like that won’t change anything,” Hayley said casually. “Who told you idiots to come assassinate someone whe you’re this weak?”

The three men instantly fell silent.

After a long pause, the lead researcher finally spoke first.

“So… You really aren’t planning to help Ascendant Creed?”

Hayley looked at him like he had asked the dumbest question imaginable.

“Help them? I came here to send them straight to hell. I’ll wipe out every last one of those anti-human lunatics, even if it’s the last thing I do!”

The tension in the three men’s expressions finally eased. When they looked at her again, there was noticeably more warmth an embarrassment in their eyes.

“We acted too impulsively tonight.”

“No need to apologize, comrades.” Hayley waved it off. “How many people are in your group total?”

The lead researcher hesitated briefly before answering, “Five.”

Hayley nearly choked.

Five? And that included Kyle? That really wasn’t much.

At that point, Hayley didn’t even bother asking who the last undercover member inside Ascendant Creed was.

Instead, she got straight to the point.

“So have you people actually made a plan to destroy Ascendant Creed?”

All three nodded simultaneously.

“What is it?”

“Kill their leader.”

Hayley stared at them.

The lead researcher explained, “Ascendant Creed’s primary goal has always been creating the strongest zombie king possible They plan to create the king, first, then extract all the crystal core information from that king and apply the power to themselves.

The moment Hayley heard that, everything clicked into place.

“I knew it. Those guys talk prettier than they act.” She sneered coldly “All that garbage about helping humanity evolve, in the end, this is just about making themselves stronger.”

“Vxatly”

The researcher nodded grimly.

“Ascendant Creed’s upper ranks have all gone insane. They’re completely addicted to the power brough They call it a new civilization replacing the old one, but in the end, all they really want is to become the

“Are they seriously not afraid of turning into zombies?”

“They only care about obtaining absolute power. Power equal to Ascendant Creed itself.”

After Hayley heard that, the coldness in her eyes deepened further.

Damn animals! Killing them would be letting them off too easily.

Right then, hurried footsteps suddenly echoed outside the room.

“Hayley!”

Scott’s voice rang out from the hallway.

The Prometheus group had disabled the surveillance inside Hayley’s room earlier, leaving the feed frozen on an o her sitting quietly in the room.
