Without hesitation, Scott headed straight for it.
The moment his hand grabbed the doorknob, the bathroom door suddenly swung open from the inside.
A girl wrapped in a bath towel with a shower cap on her head stood there, staring at him with crossed
arms.
“What exactly are you trying to do?”
The instant Scott saw her standing there perfectly fine, the tension in his face visibly loosened.
“Are you alright?”

Hayley stared straight into Scott’s eyes, blinking innocently as she called out sweetly, “Scott, sweetie…”
Scott instantly went silent.
“Why won’t you believe me?” Hayley looked completely sincere. “I really do want to know how you take care of your hair.”
She sighed dramatically.
“Don’t let this fool you.” She pointed at her own hair. “It only looks okay right now, but I actually lose a ton of hair. The texture’s terrible, too. Honestly, at this rate, I might go bald in a few years.”
Scott didn’t know what to say. He looked at the deadly serious expression on her face, and a faint smile slowly appeared on his lips.
“Besides hair, what else did you want to talk about?”
“Nothing else for now.”
“But I remember you saying you had a lot to tell me.” Scott casually popped open a beer can. “Keep going. Once you’ve said enough, I won’t investigate anymore.”
Hayley fell silent again.
Fine. If he wanted nonsense that badly, she would keep talking.
So Hayley started asking him questions nonstop, from head to toe, such as what kind of clothes he liked wearing, what ties he usually bought, what brand his belt was, and even whether he wore thermal underwear during winter.
Unexpectedly, Scott answered every question seriously, almost patiently.
“I don’t wear thermal pants.”
“Aren’t you cold?” Hayley looked horrified. “Be careful, or you’ll end up with knee problems when you’re older.”
Scott leaned casually against the couch, holding his beer, watching her with amusement in his eyes.
“Are you afraid of cold weather?”
“Obviously.” Hayley nodded immediately. “The second autumn starts, I have to wear thermal layers, And when winter comes, I wear two.”
She really was sensitive to cold.
