A wave of disgust washed over Sienna, her expression visibly souring. She felt that the woman's mere presence cheapened the entire boutique, even diluting her own aristocratic aura.

Losing all interest, she dropped the perfume back onto the display and glared coldly.

The nearby sales associates instantly fell silent. They stood rigid, practically holding their breath, terrified of whatever had suddenly enraged this wealthy VIP.

At the counter, Judith looked entirely at ease. "I'll take this one," she said smoothly. "And please fetch me a bottle of this light fragrance. I prefer it over the heavier notes."

Standing nearby, Sienna watched with eyes full of deep-seated contempt and mockery.

She sneered at Judith, refusing to believe that Jillian's mother could actually afford anything here. It was far more likely the old woman had wandered in without knowing the brand. Sienna waited patiently, eager to watch her make a total fool of herself at the register.

Yet, the anticipated humiliation never came.

Judith remained poised the entire time, swiftly paying the staggering bill before walking out with her designer shopping bags in tow.

Sienna stared at her retreating back, unable to hide her profound confusion and shock.

She could actually afford that?

Did Jillian and her mother genuinely extort a massive fortune from Silas?

Sienna lost every ounce of desire to continue shopping. Seeing her sudden foul mood, her friends quickly called it a day and accompanied her out of the district.

On the way back, instead of heading to the Quincy family estate, she deliberately detoured to The Yale Residences.

Killian hadn't left for the office yet. He was standing in the foyer, adjusting his tie before heading out.

"Connor off to school?" Sienna asked as she walked in, glancing around before letting her gaze land on him. She kept her tone casual. "Have you been in touch with Jillian lately?"

Killian finished his tie with sharp, elegant movements. His handsome face remained completely impassive. "I haven't had any contact with her at all. Why bring her up?"

"I ran into her mother at the mall today," Sienna said with a tight smile.
