Back home, Lydia was absolutely livid when she heard the story. "Does her family own that spa? What gives her the right to kick you out with a single sentence? This is pure bullying!"

"The Quincys probably hold shares in it," Judith guessed quietly, her voice drained. "Forget it. I shouldn't have caused a scene in the first place."

"The next time you want to visit a place like that, run a background check first. If the Quincys are tied to it, we avoid it like the plague. We don't need their drama."

"I know," Judith agreed. "But don't tell Jillian about this. I don't want to upset her."

Lydia nodded in begrudging agreement.

Jillian came home incredibly late that evening. The house was fast asleep, leaving her blissfully unaware of the day's events.

By the time the weekend rolled around, Stella had to head to her figure skating practice.

Wanting Jillian to catch up on some much-needed sleep, Judith volunteered to take the girl.

Left alone in the quiet house, Jillian spent the entire morning hunched over her desk, furiously tackling a mountain of work.

Around noon, she ordered lunch for her grandmother, massaging her stiff, aching neck as she stepped out of her home office.

Spotting her discomfort, Lydia immediately asked, "What's wrong? Are you hurting?"

"I'm fine. I just sat at the computer too long, so my neck is a bit sore," Jillian said, waving it off with a smile.

"You push yourself too hard. Staring at that screen all day is going to wreck your health," Lydia fretted.

Her grandmother was a gentle soul who rarely left the estate. With sprawling gardens in both the front and back of the villa, she spent her peaceful days tending to her flowers and vegetables.

"Nana, I think I'm going to head out for a bit this afternoon."

"Go on, just be safe."

Jillian had originally planned a casual drive to clear her head, but the sharp pain in her neck was relentless. Remembering they had a VIP card to a high-end luxury spa, she decided a deep-tissue massage was exactly what she needed.

She grabbed the card from her mother's room and drove straight to the facility.

But when she handed the card to the receptionist, she was bluntly informed that it was inactive.

The employee on duty was part of a rotating shift. She had zero knowledge of the altercation a few days prior and didn't recognize Jillian in the slightest.

Jillian frowned in confusion. "Why isn't it scanning? Did it expire, or is there an error?"
