The Quincy family showed up in full force. Eleanor Quincy, Sienna Sterling, Killian, Natalie Quincy, and Leon Quincy were all present, along with a sizable crowd of close friends and relatives.
The seating chart had been arranged in advance, keeping the two families strictly separated.
The Quincys occupied over a dozen round tables in a boisterous display, while Jillian's side consisted of only her, her mother, and her grandmother.
She hadn't brought Stella Jarrett along, dropping her off with Mallory Vaughn earlier that morning.
She knew Connor harbored a deep resentment toward Stella. Bringing her today would have definitely ruined the mood. Jillian had no intention of forcing Connor to accept his sister, opting to keep the two kids apart to avoid any drama.
As soon as Jillian stepped into the venue, she spotted Leon and approached him with a smile. "You made it today?"
"It's my nephew's birthday, of course I'm here." Leon grinned, handing over a wrapped box. "Just a little something for him."
"You really didn't have to."
"Don't be polite with me." Leon looked Jillian up and down, offering a casual compliment. "You look absolutely stunning today."
Jillian offered a modest laugh. "It's nothing special."
"You look great. It's a kid's birthday, and the mother should look elegant. Unlike some people who use a child's party as an excuse to steal the spotlight." Leon's tone carried a hint of annoyance as he shot a sideways glance at Natalie nearby.
Natalie was dressed in a lavish, floor-length gown, looking like she was attending an exclusive fashion gala rather than a ten-year-old's birthday bash.
Jillian smiled faintly. "Let her be. Connor is the star today. As long as he's happy, that's all that matters."
Across the room, Killian stepped out of the lounge area and asked a staff member, "Has Jillian's side arrived?"
"They should be here. I'll go check." Just as the staff member turned to leave, Killian caught sight of Jillian.
