Sienna curled her lip in disgust, instinctively moving to toss the photo into the trash along with the ID, but she inexplicably stopped.
She couldn't shake the feeling that the baby in the picture looked familiar.
In that brief moment of hesitation, a staff member started walking toward her. Sienna quickly shoved the photo into her pocket and dropped the clutch back onto the table.
On the car ride home, Sienna thought about the photo again and pulled it out to examine it.
The years had faded the image, and her violently shoving it into her pocket had left it crumpled.
Sienna smoothed it out against her knee, frowning as she studied it for a long moment.
"Is this Jillian as a baby?" she muttered to herself.
Judith only had one daughter. If she was carrying a photo around in her wallet, it had to be Jillian.
"She was pretty average-looking as a kid, I suppose. Just chubby and pale."
Sienna let out a cold laugh, pushing down the strange unease bubbling in her chest. She convinced herself she was just overthinking things.
Over at Jillian's place, the chaos lasted until midnight.
First, she had to drop Connor off at The Yale Residences, and then she drove her family home.
It wasn't until they walked through the door that Judith realized her clutch was missing. Jillian immediately drove her back to the restaurant to look for it.
The bag was still there, but upon checking the contents, Judith realized her driver's license was gone.
The restaurant staff kindly checked the security cameras, revealing footage of Sienna throwing the ID into the trash.
Jillian let out an exasperated laugh. On the drive back, Judith spent the entire time cursing Sienna's name.
"She has the nerve to call me trash, but look at her! Look at what she did! Petty, vindictive psycho," Judith complained endlessly.
She was officially disillusioned by the so-called elite.
When Jillian first got married, Judith had felt a bit of an inferiority complex whenever she had to face the glamorous, poised Sienna.
Now, she just thought Sienna was a deeply flawed person. When it came to basic human decency, Judith felt she was lightyears ahead of her.
