"Very smoothly," Jillian looked up with a soft chuckle. "Mr. Dalton is extremely eager to work with us. But I ran into Killian at Continental today."

Daniel's gaze hardened slightly. "Killian? What was he doing at Continental?"

"Probably discussing the Horizon acquisition," Jillian answered honestly.

A flicker of concern crossed Daniel's face. "Are you planning to use our partnership with Continental to sabotage Killian's deal? Will Mr. Dalton go along with it? If you do this, you'll be making an enemy out of Killian."

"Haven't I already done that?" Jillian replied coolly. "In business, profit is the ultimate driver. Killian knows that better than anyone."

Seeing her unfazed, Daniel let out a relieved, helpless laugh.
