Jillian saw Sylvia again inside Killian's office.

She had received a call from Killian, summoning her over to discuss the partnership details between their companies.

Jillian drove to Quincy Group, where Nate Nash personally came downstairs to escort her.

Nate wore a bright smile, chatting as they walked. "You picked a great day to come, Ms. Jarrett. Mr. Quincy has been in a fantastic mood these past two days. You have a very high chance of locking in a great deal today."

Jillian's expression remained flat. She gave a slight nod but didn't respond.

Seeing her lack of reaction, Nate added, "I'm serious. It's rare to see Mr. Quincy this relaxed. Whatever terms you bring to the table today will likely go through."

"That's good news, then," Jillian replied mildly, her tone completely devoid of emotion.

The two arrived at the office door. Nate stepped aside, and as Jillian pushed the door open, a bright, melodic laugh drifted into the hallway.

Jillian looked up and immediately recognized the back of Sylvia's head.

Sylvia was perched casually on the edge of the massive executive desk, her hands resting on either side of her hips, turned sideways to face Killian behind the desk.

The two were leaning in close, whispering and laughing. The atmosphere was incredibly intimate and harmonious, resembling two deeply infatuated lovers who had never experienced a breakup.

Jillian instinctively halted her steps.

The air in the room was thick with romantic tension. Walking in now felt inappropriate.

She was just about to step back and wait when Sylvia, as if she had eyes in the back of her head, suddenly turned around.
