The routine played out exactly like the day before.
Once she confirmed that Zander had doused the woman in the perfume, she closed the app.
The violent nausea from yesterday was too awful; she had no desire to experience it again.
...
Inside the study.
Renata was busy giving Zander his "dedicated" treatment.
Suddenly, a wave of intense itching washed over her skin. She couldn't help but scratch it.
It felt like a swarm of invisible bugs was crawling all over her. The itch rapidly intensified.
She began clawing frantically at her body.
"Zander, I'm so itchy..."
He smirked teasingly. "Itching for me?"
She shot up, viciously scratching at her chest. "No, my skin! I'm itching to death!"
The main lights were off, leaving only a dim candle lamp casting a soft, atmospheric glow. Exactly the kind of mood he liked.
Hearing the panic in her voice, he ripped off his blindfold and flipped the main light switch.
They both jumped in horror.
"Zander, w-what is this?"
Her once flawless skin was absolutely covered in dense, furious red hives. It looked as though thousands of fire ants were actively devouring her flesh.
"Are you having an allergic reaction to something you ate?" he asked in shock.
"No! I haven't eaten anything unusual!"
She racked her brain until her gaze snapped to the perfume bottle on the desk.
"Is it that new perfume? Honestly, did you really think Queenie was capable of making anything decent? That cheap, amateur garbage of hers gave me this reaction!"
She was on the verge of a breakdown, furiously tearing at her own skin.
The hives were spreading rapidly, moving up from her chest to her neck, and finally blooming across her face. She looked absolutely horrifying.
"Come on, let's get you to the hospital!"
