The Heiress’ Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call (Wynter Quinnell) novel Chapter 1971

Kiaran had always been thinking about his parents, but because of his current identity, he never dared to call them. If his parents found out he was still alive, and if that ruined the old man's plan, he would never be able to return to them again.

Wynter took her phone back. "It's your turn."

"I'll speak." Kiaran's eyes seemed to light up with hope. "The protagonist in the story you told earlier is indeed me. Back then, the old man wanted to kill me along with the other nine people, but just when he was about to make a move on me, a man in a black robe brought someone over.

"He told the old man that he had found the tenth person. Only then did the old man spare me, and he had my silicone mask placed on that person instead. However, not long after that staged death, he brought me to Havenia."

Wynter lifted her eyes slightly. "Who is he?"

"I…" Kiaran hesitated. "I don't know who he is. His build and appearance match that of my boss, but everything he does in secret is completely unlike him."

Wynter nodded. "And after you came to Havenia?"

Kiaran exhaled. "After arriving in Havenia, he took me to meet someone and had me study that person's habits and traits. I stayed by his side until I learned everything. After the person left, the old man had me take his place to carry out his plan.

"It was only recently that I learned his goal was to disrupt Havenia, but I was powerless and could only follow his orders. The purpose behind the few incidents I mentioned earlier was to throw Havenia into chaos."

Wynter tapped lightly on the table with her fingertips. "If I understand you correctly, each of these actions was carried out through your hands. Hence, even if things were exposed, you'd be the scapegoat while the others remain unaffected."

"That's right." Kiaran looked up. "He must have planned to send someone to get rid of me after my identity was exposed in the banquet hall, but you found me first."

"They are trying to silence you after things fall apart." Wynter rested her chin on her hand. "That part makes sense. But there's one thing I don't understand. Why would the person in charge of the Chamber of Commerce allow you to imitate and replace him?"

Kiaran shook his head. "I don't know. I only followed orders."

He had the same thoughts as Wynter. He didn't understand the point of having him replace that man. He had asked before but never got an answer.

"Oh, right." Wynter suddenly thought of something. "He told you to take the opportunity to manipulate the stock market. Anyone who bought Prosperity Holdings and Pacific Energy would go bankrupt, right?"

Kiaran glanced up, then lowered his head. "Yes. Those two stocks may look like they're constantly rising, but they only need one trigger. Once that trigger comes, they'll plummet to rock bottom."

"I see." Wynter handed him a piece of paper and a pen. "Write down the overseas account information for me."

Kiaran paused. "You won't be able to trace it. I've tried before and found nothing."

"Just write it." Wynter stood up. "Give it to me when you're done."

Closing his eyes to recall for a moment, Kiaran wrote the account details on the paper and handed it to Wynter.

After glancing at it, Wynter passed it to Wolf. "Check it and see what you can find."

Wolf nodded firmly and headed toward the laptop.

Wynter hadn't gotten the information she most wanted, and that could only mean that the old man didn't fully trust Kiaran.

Putting the pieces together, Wynter could confirm that the reason Wolf went to the municipal building last time was because of Isidore, and that it was also Isidore who brought Kiaran to Havenia this time.

Colifernia, Hawford, and Havenia were all being orchestrated from behind the scenes by Isidore.
