The Heiress’ Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call (Wynter Quinnell) novel Chapter 1978

Currently, Havenia Museum was the only place where cultural relics could be stored. It was also guarded by dedicated personnel every day, with continuous inspections conducted around the clock.

If a cultural relic was really stolen from there, news would have spread about it.

Kiaran nodded. "That's right. However, I have no idea what they did."

Wynter collected her thoughts, then turned to look at him. "Alright, I understand now. I'll get someone to take you back to Havenia in a while. As for the crimes you've committed, someone will take care of it."

Cascadia and Havenia were considered one country with two different systems of governance. As such, Wynter didn't hand Kiaran over to the Havenian police.

Kiaran looked up. "Okay, but I have a request. Could you—"

Wynter turned around. "You can. The person who will take you back to the mainland will let you meet your family once you've landed."

She had already guessed what Kiaran wanted to say. After wandering away from home, he'd naturally want to see his family when he returned.

Other law enforcers might not care about things like this, but Wynter was an understanding law enforcer. Even if someone had committed a crime, they were still human.

Kiaran nodded vigorously. "Thank you."

After Wynter led them out, she looked at Dalton and said, "I just have the feeling that things aren't this simple. It's not like them to go after cultural relics without good reason."

Dalton's voice was gentle as he replied, "From another perspective, cultural relics have a lot of history. As such, there will probably be at least one or two secrets hiding within them."

Wynter thought it over for a moment. "As far as I know, there's a cultural relic in Havenia Museum with a long history and an extremely high collector's value—the Drakevein Pendant. It's also one of Cascadia's symbols."

"So, they'll think of ways to get their hands on the Drakevein Pendant and siphon the remaining energy in it," Dalton concluded, then paused and added, "It might contain a country's fortune in it."

The look in Wynter's eyes turned intense. If Dalton's words were true, Isidore would definitely target the Drakevein Pendant.

"I'll ask Mr. Hensley Senior later to see if he can get us credentials from the Cultural Heritage Center to get us straight into Havenia Museum."

As Wynter was speaking, she had already taken her phone out to contact Baxter.

Baxter spoke first, and his tone had changed. "Ms. Quinnell."

Wynter said in a low voice, "There's something I need to trouble you with, Mr. Hensley Senior. Please help me procure three sets of credentials from the Cultural Heritage Center. It's urgent."

"Three sets of credentials from the Cultural Heritage Center?" Baxter echoed, though he didn't question her any further. "I'll do my best. I'll ask an old friend—he's now retired, but he used to be the Cultural Heritage Center's deputy director. I'll keep you informed."

"Okay," Wynter replied simply before hanging up.

She then looked at Dalton and said, "Mr. Hensley Senior has some connections he can use, but whether or not we can get those credentials will be up to him."

Wolf blinked. "Does that mean I can go, too, Boss?"

Wynter nodded. "That's right. You're still the best person for the task if we were to run into bad guys."

"Yep!" Wolf exclaimed, clenching his fists. "Leave them to me!"

Dalton looked up. "How about I get someone else to ask around?"

"Forget it," Wynter replied, waving a dismissive hand. "We're supposed to be hiding our tracks, anyway. If we relied on our connections to search around, we'd naturally expose ourselves. At that point, there'll be too many people looking for you, and I won't be able to stop them."

Dalton chuckled. "Okay. Let's wait for news on Mr. Hensley Senior's end, then. If he can get us those credentials, then I won't need to get others to do it."

Time passed quickly, and Baxter soon called them again. "I've obtained what you asked, Ms. Quinnell. I've already sent someone to deliver the documents to you."

Wynter nodded lightly. "Alright. Thank you very much, Mr. Hensley Senior."
