The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 444

Chapter 444 Don’t Get in My Way!

Finished

“But Mrs. Jordan is having spasms! Could it be a stroke? Or maybe a seizure? If we just leave her like this, could something bad happen?”

“Ms. Jordan, aren’t you working at PharmaCore? You should know something! Hurry, think of something!”

The wealthy ladies who were dining with Cora were all anxiously urging and reminding her.

Sabrina was already frustrated, and hearing them nag only made her more annoyed.

Just as she was weighing what to do, she heard someone approaching from behind.

“We can’t just leave her like this. Her face is twitching, her mouth is crooked, and her whole body is shaking. This is very dangerous.”

It was Amelia.

She walked straight up to Sabrina, very calm and confident. One quick look was enough for her to know what was happening.

Then she reached out to check Cora’s pulse.

“Why is it you again? What are you doing here?”

Brielle, suddenly noticing that Amelia had barged in, couldn’t stay quiet. She immediately started fussing and complaining.

“It’s all your fault! You just cursed my grandma, saying she was sick, and now she really collapsed. Are you here to watch the show?

“Amelia, how can you be so cruel? You cursed her, and now you’re here to watch her struggle?”

Amelia ignored Brielle’s noisy complaints.

Right now, Cora’s condition was worse and much faster than she had expected.

She had already warned earlier to monitor Cora’s health and see a specialist for a thorough check.

She didn’t expect that, less than half an hour after the warning, this would happen.

This kind of medical emergency couldn’t be delayed, or it might be too late.

Thinking that Cora had always been polite and kind toward her, Amelia felt they got along well enough.

So she didn’t hesitate. She quickly took a pill from her bag and put it into Cora’s mouth.

It was Amelia’s special emergency heart pill. It dissolved immediately in the mouth and worked very fast- perfect for someone who suddenly falls unconscious.

Brielle shouted, “Hey, what did you give my grandma?!

“Not only do you curse people, but now you’re trying to kill her? You’re a monster!”

She jumped up in a panic, rushing forward to stop her, but she couldn’t even reach Amelia.

Feeling embarrassed and frustrated, she could only yell from where she stood.

Even Sabrina couldn’t help but speak up, “Ms: Amelia, my grandma’s condition is uncertain right now. You just gave her some random medicine. What if something goes wrong? Can you take responsibility?”

“Yeah! Can you take responsibility? Your life is worthless, but my grandma’s life is precious!”

Seeing Sabrina speak up, Brielle eagerly joined in.

Amelia responded, “Oh, really? I saw you, as her granddaughter, just stand there and do nothing. Of course, I had to step in. After all, it’s a life at stake.”

She looked at Sabrina, who acted all high and mighty, and saw right through her.

Sabrina clearly knew a little about first aid and could have helped, but she did nothing.

Yet she pretended like she wanted to do something.

The truth was, she was just afraid of taking responsibility. Later, if something went wrong, she didn’t want the blame on her.

Amelia didn’t judge whether that was good or bad-every family has its own problems.

Don’t judge someone until you’ve walked in their shoes.

Maybe Sabrina had her own difficulties in the family.

But now that Sabrina was speaking against her, Amelia wasn’t going to play saint.

Sabrina’s face changed slightly when she was called out, but she quickly composed herself.

She definitely wouldn’t admit it. “Ms. Amelia, you misunderstand. We’re all Grandma’s family. We wouldn’t just stand by like you said.”

Naturally, Brielle joined in, shouting too. “That’s nonsense! How could we just do nothing? Stop making false accusations!”

“Mrs. Jordan’s condition is critical right now. She’s clearly showing signs of a stroke or brain hemorrhage. I need to start needle therapy immediately.”

Amelia didn’t want to waste time arguing. Right now, saving Cora was the priority.

She quickly pulled needles from her bag, disinfected them, and prepared to treat Cora.

Seeing this, Sabrina rushed forward to stop her. “You’re hot a professional! You don’t know anything about needle therapy. What if something goes wrong? Who will take responsibility?”

Amelia frowned and looked at her coldly. “If you know how, then you save her. If you don’t, then don’t get in my way.”
