Chapter 590 Embarrassment
Ice-cold water kept pouring from the faucet. A shallow layer spread over the floor, and the air felt damp and freezing.
A man suddenly rushed in and caught sight of her naked. Amelia jerked awake with a burst of strength.
“Don’t look!” she exclaimed, desperately trying to cover herself.
The problem was that there wasn’t much to cover.
For the first time, Amelia felt painfully awkward and exposed, her face burning bright red.
Strangely enough, she didn’t even notice the cold anymore.
Jeremy had never faced anything like that either. His ears turned red in seconds.
Still, his thoughts stayed clear. What he couldn’t ignore was how pale she looked from the cold.
Quickly, he took off his jacket and clumsily wrapped it around her shoulders.
One jacket couldn’t cover her completely, but it was better than nothing.
“Wait here. I’ll get your clothes. Just a moment!”
With that, Jeremy took off running. Even a pro sprinter couldn’t beat his speed.
Luckily, she’d brought more than one outfit. He quickly grabbed them from the trunk.
At last, she could get dressed properly, and warmth slowly returned.
When Amelia thought back to what had just happened, she still felt flustered and embarrassed.
Even her breath felt hot.
“I didn’t see anything.”
Seeing color return to her face, Jeremy finally relaxed and even joked a little,
“You’re lying!” she snapped. He definitely saw it all.
“It’s no big deal. You’ll have to show me sooner or later anyway, I just got a preview.”
Despite what he said, his focus had been on her pale, freezing face the whole time. He hadn’t noticed anything else.

“Shameless!” Amelia shot him a glare, her face still red.
This topic needed to end. It was way too embarrassing.
“Men who take their wives too seriously are a problem. Maybe we should test that tonight?” he teased.
“Who’s your wife? Don’t push your luck, and stop talking nonsense!”
Amelia hurried toward the lounge.
“Soon, I’ll make you officially mine.”
“Isn’t that already done?” He was already her official boyfriend.
“I mean the ultimate version-fully certified and legit.”
With that “certified” status, anything he did with her would be completely aboveboard.
Before, Jeremy was happy just being by Amelia’s side as her boyfriend.
Now, he realized that would never be enough.
He wanted a full life with her, growing old together.
His grandmother always said he was too humble around Amelia and couldn’t bear to watch that.
Jeremy didn’t care. He loved staying close to her, loved making her laugh, teasing her until she got mad, then coaxing her back.
After their playful bickering, Jeremy quickly made her a cup of hot ginger tonic.
“Drink this quickly. You were freezing naked for so long-you’ll catch a cold.”
“Can you stop bringing that up?” Amelia took the cup and glared at him…
She really didn’t want to relive that embarrassing moment.
The warm tonic felt great in her hands. After one sip, heat spread through her body.
It smelled lightly of ginger with a bit of sweetness. He must’ve added sugar.
As she drank slowly, the cold in her cheeks faded, along with the embarrassment.
She stole a glance at Jeremy, who was watching her intently, his eyes full of obvious concern.

Her heart skipped, but her words stayed sharp. “If you mention it again, you’re sleeping in the guest room tonight.”
Her voice was soft but clear. He let out a low laugh, full of satisfaction.
In the quiet lounge, his laughter sounded especially rich and magnetic.
“When I went into that private changing room, the main door outside was already broken. Is some idiot trying to mess with you again?”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
