Originally, Vincent had planned to book out the rotating restaurant on the top floor of the tallest building downtown and invite Amelia to dinner the next evening.
Unfortunately, she had already blocked his number, and he could not bring himself to wait until tomorrow.
After finding out she was eating here today, he followed her over without hesitation.
At that moment, he pointed toward a skyscraper outside the window and spoke with exaggerated tenderness.
"Amelia, I bought every exterior billboard on the surrounding buildings because I want you to truly feel how important you are to me."
As soon as he finished speaking, the building across from them lit up. Brilliant lights illuminated several massive words. "Amelia Nygard is the love of Vincent Dester's life!"
Amelia was speechless.
The corner of her mouth twitched, her expression darkening instantly.
If this man wanted to play the lovesick hero, could he at least leave her out of it?
The moment Josie saw those attention-seeking words glaring outside, she nearly spit out the water in her mouth.
She fanned her mouth a couple of times, then finally exploded, "Vincent, are you dumb or something?
"You actually pulled a stunt this painfully cheesy? Buying up all the building billboards? If you have that much money with nowhere to spend it, why not donate it to a charity and earn some good karma instead?
She placed her hands on her hips, bristling like an angry kitten, "Do you think Amelia needs this kind of nonsense to prove anything? Do you think this is some trashy romance drama? This is beyond embarrassing!"
The sudden "surprise" made Amelia's skin crawl. She frowned deeply and looked at Vincent's smug, self-satisfied face, her voice turning ice-cold as she said, "Vincent, can you stop doing these childish and ridiculous things? Do you think this will move me? On the contrary, it just makes me feel even more disgusted."
She paused, her sharp gaze sweeping over him, "And my relationship with Jeremy is none of your business. You have no right to interfere, and I don't need this kind of attention-seeking display to show how much you 'care.'
"Get lost. And take all this garbage down."
Nearby diners were drawn in by the lights outside and the argument at the table. They watched the scene with amusement, casting curious or openly contemptuous looks their way.
Vincent's expression froze. He hadn't expected Amelia to react like this, nor Josie to roast him without mercy.
Embarrassment and anger surged, but he forced himself to stay composed, "Amelia, how can you say that? I've done so much for you…"
"None of what you did is what I want," Amelia cut him off. "I don't care about any of it. Your so-called sincerity is nothing more than a performance meant to move yourself.
"Real respect means knowing boundaries. Not harassing me with what you think is romantic."
Amelia never once forgot that she already belonged to someone.
She and Jeremy loved each other deeply. They chose each other every step of the way, sharing a connection that belonged only to them.
She was satisfied with her life now, her pace, and her slice of bliss.
Naturally, Amelia and Josie heard the surrounding chatter.
They followed everyone's line of sight and saw that every building was now covered with photos of Amelia and Jeremy together.
There was also a massive line of text. "Jeremy Curran loves Amelia Nygard forever!"
The words themselves were just as old-fashioned, but the visuals were exquisitely designed, paired with lighting that looked incredibly high-end.
Most importantly, the man behind the confession was Jeremy.
"Oh my god, this has to be Mr. Curran's doing. This is insanely romantic and beautiful! Amelia, I'm so jealous of you!"
This time, Josie did not find it cheesy or uncomfortable at all. Instead, she cupped her face, completely starry-eyed.
Amelia felt the same.
She did not feel disgusted or embarrassed, only overwhelmed with sweetness and emotion.
Because this was the surprise Jeremy had prepared for her.
It turned out that when the man was the one she loved most, even the cheesiest gesture became romantic and meaningful.
Vincent followed everyone's line of sight and looked over.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
