Chapter 218
LUCA
She walked in with bags.
I quirked a brow. “Shopping spree?”
I was trying hard not to think about spreading her legs and burying my face between them until she forgo the word friends.
Fuck.
Don’t think about that.
New day. That never happened. One-time thing. I kept needing to remind myself of my own rule, like saying it enough times would make my body obey it.
“Yeah.” She smiled. Easy. Bright. Too normal. “I had fun with Blair and Olivia. They helped me pick out
some stuff.”
“That’s nice.”
Don’t think about her breasts.
Don’t think about her ass.
Stop thinking about her in the shower. Against the glass. On the desk with papers on the floor. On her back on the carpet saying my name like it belonged in her mouth.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Was that still her handprint against the window?
I was losing it.
Big time.
“You had a good practice earlier,” she said.
I frowned.
She had not clocked the two times I almost crashed. She always spotted that. She could not have been paying attention. Or she had been paying attention to something else.
“Mhm.” I stuffed food in my mouth. Distraction. I was looking for any distraction I could find that was not her mouth. “Looking forward to qualifying tomorrow.”
I did not think I would do well unless I got her out of my head.
And that was not happening.
I was in for a shitty day. I knew that much. Turn 5 was already waiting for me with her voice in it.

“Do you have a movie in mind for tonight?”
owned. “Movie?”
“Did you forget? We’re watching a movie tonight.”
I cleared my throat. “Right. Anything you want is fine.”
She frowned. Really frowned, like I had just failed a test I usually aced. “You always insist on picking. We fight about it all the time. What’s wrong with you today?”
Everything.
Last night.
This morning.
The way she had looked at my cock and then locked the bathroom door.
The fact that I could still feel her if I let my mind slip.
“Tonight you choose,” I said after swallowing hard.
I could not fight her. My mind was in the wrong rooms. Wrong places. My body was still craving hers like the night had not ended.
“Okay. I’ll freshen up. We can watch after.”
I watched her go into her room and fell back against the couch.
How was she so normal after last night?
I could not seem to think straight and she was moving about like everything was fine. Like she had already forgotten. And it had been her first fucking time. I was still in shock about that. Her being a virgin. How tight she had been. How fucking thrilled that made me in a way I had no right to feel.
Mine.
The thought touched down too fast.
I shoved it away.
I got the snacks. Dimmed the main light. Same blanket as every other movie night we had survived as friends.
Same two cushion gap I used to pretend I needed.
She took longer than usual.
Usually it would take her fifteen minutes.
Over an hour had already passed. What was she doing so long in there?
I checked the time twice. Then a third time.

Qualifying was tomorrow. I needed sleep. I needed a clear head. I needed her to come out in sweatpants and something over her face.
The door opened.
I glanced.
Looked back at the TV.
Froze.
No way I had seen that..
It must have been a mistake.
I looked again. To make sure it was a mistake.
My mouth fell open.
Motherfucker.
Charlotte was in a dress.
A short one.
A sexy one.
See-through enough that my brain stopped making the right thoughts.
I could see the shape of her. Her sexy legs. The marks I had left still there on her body, looking so fucking good I wanted to put my mouth back on them and leave more.
And was she wearing makeup?
To watch a movie?
Even her hair was down and it looked like she’d been at a salon earlier.
What the fuck.
Was she trying to kill me?
Why choose to wear that for movie night? Here? Inside? After I had said one night and she had agreed and then gone shopping with women who clearly wanted me in the ground.
I sat up too fast.
The bowl nearly went.
She walked in like this was normal. Like we had not burned a line through this suite last night.
