The Last True Female (Lexie) (by Sylvia Vance) novel Chapter 118

Chapter 118

Nelson let out a long sigh before speaking in a grave tone.

Even after Ms. Graham’s death, her body was never truly free,” he said.

4332%3

Never truly free? What do you mean by that? Austin told me that after Ms. Graham died, she was buried on Dora Planet? Lexie asked.

No, Ms. Graham’s body was never laid to rest on Dora Planet. Only her clothes and jewelry were buried there.

Her body had already been split up and taken by those reclusive clans,Nelson replied.

What? What did you just say? Split up?Lexic stammered, her voice trembling in disbelief.

Hearing Nelson say that, Lexie felt like everything she believed in was crumbling to pieces.

What does that even mean?Lexie thought, her mind reeling.

Split up? Did they really just chop her up and hand out the pieces? The thought made her stomach churn.

Just imagining it made Lexie feel sick to her stomach.

Oh my god, this is so gross, Lexie thought, feeling like she might actually puke.

As the wave of nausea hit, Lexie quickly clapped a hand over her mouth, trying her best not to gag.

Now was definitely not the time to throw up.

Her eyes widened in disbelief as she shot Nelson a horrified look

Prince Nelson, what are you even saying? How could those reclusive clans have actually divided up Ms. Graham’s body?she stammered, her voice shaking.

Nelson looked at Lexie for a long moment before speaking in a low, serious voice.

Ms. Graham was

he only female in the entire Aetherion Interstellar Zone, but her identity was just too unique.

Because of the Clyssia Virus, she was trapped in the Isolation Pod her whole life, and she spent every day in pain.

The only reason those reclusive clans took care of her was for her genes.

If they could get even a single drop of her blood, they might be able to clone a true female who could withstand the Clyssia Virus.

Even after years of failed experiments, even the faintest hope was better than nothing.

That’s the reason why, after Ms. Graham died, those reclusive clans actually divided up her remains,Nelson said.

Holy shit, that’s just messed up! What about me? If I die, is my body gonna begonna beLexie stammered, her voice catching in her throat.

She couldn’t even get the words out.

Oh my god, this is way too freaky,Lexie thought, her heart racing.

Seeing the fear written all over Lexie’s face, Nelson let out a long sigh. He softened his tone, speaking earnestly as he looked

at her.

Chapter 118

LexicNelson called gently.

“Yeah, I’m here,Lexic replied, quickly straightening up.

Noticing how tense Lexie was, Nelson let out a quiet laugh, unable to help himself.

Lexie, seriously, you don’t need to freak out,Nelson said, trying to reassure her.

432%

How could I not freak out? The thought of getting sliced up for some experiment is nightmare fuel!Lexie blurted out, her voice shaking.

Trust me, nobody would dare lay a finger on you. And even if they wanted to, they wouldn’t get the chance, Nelson replied his tone protective.

Why? What, do I have three heads and six arms or something? Lexie blurted out, still totally lost.

It’s not like you’ve got three heads and six arms. It’s just that your cells aren’t the right type for cloning experiments, Nelson explained.

Wait, what are you trying to say?Lexie asked, totally lost.

Did you ever have some really serious illness before?Nelson asked.

Yeah, I did. It was basically something pretty much incurable for me. Why? Does that actually have anything to do with whether they’d chop me up or not?Lexie replied, her voice a little shaky.

It actually matters a lot. Since you were sick before, did you end up taking all sorts of weird meds?Nelson asked.

Weird meds? No way!Lexie shot back, shaking her head in disbelief.

She’d always taken her medicine exactly how the doctor told her, there was no way that counted as weird or random meds. Sure, the healthcare in her old world was nothing compared to this place.

But thinking about it, with how advanced things were here, maybe to Nelson all the stuff she’d taken before just looked like junk medicine or sketchy pills.

Seeing Lexie deep in thought, Nelson went on.

Lexie, you took all sorts of random meds before, and that messed up your body in ways that can’t really be fixed.

Maybe some of it could heal over time, but when it comes to the Genesis Pod, your body just doesn’t meet the requirements for cloning.

So basically, your genes just can’t be used to make a baby in the Genesis Pod.

That’s why, even if those reclusive clans managed to get your genes, they still couldn’t make a clone baby out of them.”

Oh my god, so that’s how it works! Seriously, this is what they call a blessing in disguise?

A blessing in disguise, huh? Guess the universe isn’t totally out to get me after all.

Thank goodness I don’t have to worry about getting chopped up for some freaky experiment. That was legit nightmare. fuel!Lexie said, finally starting to breathe easy.

Wait a sec, how do you even know about my gene test results? Don’t tell me you got them from that last time we metLexie asked, her mind spinning.

You guessed it. When we met last time, I snagged a drop of your blood. That’s how I got your genetic info,Nelson replied, sounding almost casual.
