The Last True Female (Lexie) (by Sylvia Vance) novel Chapter 13

When Austin was teaching Lexie how to use the Optic Brain, he was super attentive with her, who was basically clueless about anything tech.

He didn’t just explain all the functions of the Optic Brain. He even showed her step by step how to look up info, send messages, and handle all the basic stuff.

Lexie was unfamiliar with all these hightech gadgets at first, but with Austin’s patient coaching, she picked up the Optic Brain tricks in no time.

Seeing Lexie get the hang of it, Austin flashed a satisfied smile.

He hadn’t expected that this artificial female bot was actually pretty

clever.

He gave her a quick demo, and she got the hang of it instantly.

He couldn’t help but praise her for being smart inwardly.

No matter how he compared her, he felt that Lexie was nothing like the other artificial female bots.

Lexie, you’ve mastered the basics of the Optic Brain. If you ever need anything or have any questions, just hit me up anytime,Austin said.

Lexie nodded, her eyes flashing grateful lights. Now that she had the Optic Brain, staying connected with Austin would be so much easier, and maybe, she could finally blend into this strange new world.

At that moment, Lexie could truly feel Austin’s concern and warmth. Her heart swelled with gratitude and anticipation.

It was only now that Lexie realized Austin wasn’t as cold or intimidating as she’d thought. He wasn’t the manlooking guy she’d imagined at all.

He was the marshal of the Aetherion Empire, after all. It was on natural for him to have that commanding vibe and look so

serious all the time.

Lexie admitted that she’d definitely prejudged him at first.

After Austin left, Lexie grabbed her Optic Brain and lay in bed, browsing all kinds of info about this world.

She tore through everything so fast that, after just a few hours, she already had a solid idea of how things worked around

here.

Right now, it was the Aetrite Era, and Lexie was living in the Aetherion Interstellar Zone.

Due to the infamous Clyssia Virus, there wasn’t a single female left alive anywhere in the Aetherion Interstellar Zone.

Lilith Graham, the last female, lived to 1,072 before she finally passed away. She was buried on Dora Planet, where Lexie was found.

That was the reason Lexie was able to sneak onto Austin’s battleship and pretend to be just another artificial female bot to everyone on board.

Lexie couldn’t help but think, There’s not a single female left in his world, so what kind of chaos will my sudden appearance cause here?

The wildest thing was, in this world, beastmen and females did even hit adulthood until they were 800 years old.

And once they finally grew up, if they were strong enough, they ould basically live forever.

But someone like Lexic, who might not even make it to a hund, wasn’t even a speck of dust compared to them.

And with her terminal illness, she wondered what kind of difference she could really make in this world.

In this world, every female had to grow up sealed away in sterile pods because of the Clyssia Virus, but she didn’t have to.

Even with her illness, the Clyssia Virus didn’t bother her at all. Se could walk around outside like it was nothing.

Lexie wondered, So, am I bringing a new hope to this world, orust spelling my own doom?

Since I’m a human, the Clyssia Virus doesn’t scare me one bit.

But if anyone ever found out my true identity, would the scientists here lock me up in the lab and cut me open like a lab rat?

Just imagining herself locked away in a cold lab, getting poked and prodded by scientists, Lexie broke out in a cold sweat.

She promised herself that before she died, she’d make sure nobody ever found out who she really was.

With her terminal illness, she didn’t have much time left anyway

Worst case, after she was gone, she could just donate her body to science.

Once she was dead, it wouldn’t matter if they chopped her up for experiments. Anyway, she wouldn’t know a thing.

She was sure about one thing: while she was still alive, she could’t let herself suffer. Pain had seriously freaked her out so far.

With that thought, Lexie made a silent vow to herself: unless she was totally out of options, she’d make damn sure nobody found out who she really was.

While Lexie was busy scheming on her end, Austin headed straight for the testing pod in his room, climbed in, and got himself checked from head to toe.

When the results came up, Austin’s gaze grew darker and more intense as he stared at the screen.

He snatched up the report and dialed up Arthur in a hurry.

Arthur, get over here, now,Austin said.

On it, Marshal Drake,” Arthur replied.

On the video call, Arthur saw how grim Austin looked. He didn’t dare say anything more. Instead, he just set down the vial in his hand and rushed over to Austin’s room without.

Marshal Drake, can I help you?Arthur asked as he hurried in.

Arthur, take a look at the test results I just got,Austin said, handing him the report.

Arthur took the report, worry etched on his face as he quickly asked, Marshal, is there something wrong with your health?

Don’t ask yet. Just read my test results first,Austin said, his voice sharp and commanding.

Arthur saw how dead serious Austin looked, so he grabbed the report and started reading.

When he finished, his jaw dropped so wide, and he asked, Marsal, hhow is this even possible?

He stared at the report in disbelief, his fingers trembling so hard hat he could barely hold it.

Arthur had been by Austin’s side for decades. Over all those year, he’d run countless tests on Austin.

But every single time, the results showed that Austin’s body wasreaking down, his health deteriorating at an alarming rate.

With how fast things were going, it was only a matter of time before Austin’s genetic illness forced him to regress into his beast form.

But now, the report showed Austin’s body wasn’t just holding steady. It was actually getting better, big time.

Just yesterday, Arthur did some tests on Austin, and his health was a total mess.

But now, staring at the results, Arthur couldn’t help but think that the Beast God himself was watching over Austin.

Otherwise, it was impossible to explain why his body recovered his fast.

Marshal, what did you do today? Or did you eat something different? How could your body recover so quickly?Arthur blurted out, still in shock.

Austin replied, I was just working like usual. If there was anything different, I spent a small part of my day with Lexie.

Arthur, whenever I’m with Lexie, I feel completely at ease. My whole body just feels really comfy.

And it’s more than that. When I’m with Lexie, it’s like my genes are throwing a party, like they’ve finally found where they belong.

It’s a kind of comfort I haven’t felt in ages. Arthur, don’t you think Lexie is on a whole different level compared to the other artificial female bots?

Honestly, when I’m with Lexie, I feel even more at peace than I ever did with Ms. Graham.
