He said, “Lex, please believe me. Everything I’m saying is true. My feelings for you have never been a joke, and I’ve never lied to you.

You really are my fiancée. Before you lost your memory, we were truly in love.

You told me you loved me and wanted to be with me.

‘After you got pregnant with Kaelen’s egg, Marshal Drake and I stayed by your side on the Merfolk Island for five whole months, just to keep you safe.

‘Lex, I’m sure the High Priest from the Snow Wolf Clan must’ve already told you about what happened between you and the Merman King.

Hearing Nelson say all that, Lexie looked down at her hand resting on his chest. Still a little dazed, she felt the firm muscles beneath her palm and, almost without thinking, gave them a little squeeze.

Nelson held out the ring, and Lexie slid it onto her finger, it was a perfect fit, almost like it was made just for her.
