Why? Why did that damn Clyssia Virus have to exist? Why did that freaking virus have to kill the ones they loved?
The twelve of them had crazy skills, top–tier medical expertise, and resources regular folks couldn’t even imagine. Their wealth and status were things most people could only dream of.
If all twelve joined forces, they could rule it all.
Even with all that strength, why couldn’t they keep their loved ones safe? Why couldn’t they protect their kids?
Eliva had given birth to three children, but only one survived. And now, even that one child, they couldn’t even go see her.
Just realizing that the one waiting outside the cave was his own daughter made Frost’s heart twist with endless remorse.
‘Beast God, why are you so unfair to me?‘ he complained.
He believed he’d never done anything unforgivable or cruel, so why did the Beast God make his whole life so tragic?
Just moments ago, he actually had a chance to catch a glimpse of his child from afar.
But he missed it.
Thinking about it, Frost lay beside Eliva’s body, crying silently like a helpless child who couldn’t even voice his pain.
His sobs were stifled, as if he was afraid his cries might disturb his beloved.
After a bout of stifled sobs, the empty cave fell silent once more. Frost gently straightened Eliva’s clothes as she lay on the ice bed, then carefully slid her body back beneath the frozen layers below.
Eliva had died from the Clyssia Virus, so her body couldn’t be allowed to warm up at all.
If her body temperature rose even a little, she would dissolve into nothing but blood and water.
After carefully storing Eliva’s body deep within the thick ice, Frost opened up his Optic Brain and sent every photo he had of Lexie to eleven different accounts all at once.
Deep in the endless snow, the eleven beastmen, half–asleep, received Frost’s message. Dragging their tired bodies, they opened their Optic Brains to see what was going on.
At first, everyone figured Frost was reaching out because something had happened to Eliva’s body, that’s why he’d sent a message to all of them.
Or maybe it was something to do with the Bloodthirsty Beast Clan?
Had something gone wrong with the Bloodthirsty Beast Clan on Frost’s end, and he couldn’t deal with it anymore, so he was reaching out for help?
With those thoughts swirling in their minds, the eleven beastmen all opened their Optic Brains at once, something they hadn’t done in ages, and the first thing that popped up were photos and videos of Lexic.
When they saw the face in the video, a dead ringer for Eliva, the eleven beastmen were floored. But then, something clicked for all of them, and suddenly, none of them felt tired anymore. They scrambled to contact Frost.
“Frost, who’s that female in the video? Why does she look so much like Eliva?”

“Frost, isn’t the female outside supposed to be stuck in the Isolation Pod? How come the one in the video can just walk around out in the open like it’s nothing?”
“Seriously, Frost, when I saw that female in the video, she just felt so familiar to me.”
“Same here. It’s like we’re connected by blood, like there’s some kind of family tie.”
“Frost, just tell us, who is that female in the video?”
“Yeah, who is she? What’s gotten into you, why’d you suddenly send us this instead of keeping an eye on Eliva’s body?”
“Frost, wait, are you saying this kid is the one Eliva had years ago with gene technology?”
As soon as that question was asked, the whole group went dead silent. Everyone stopped talking, intently waiting for Frost to
answer.
Time ticked by, and the tension in the group chat grew heavier with every second. Everyone was on edge, afraid to miss a single word from Frost.
Finally, Frost’s voice broke the silence.
He said, “You guys nailed it. That kid really is the one Eliva had using gene tech.
“Back then, Eliva used genetic tech to have three kids, but only this one survived.
“The eldest sent her off to another world, hoping she could make it somewhere the Clyssia Virus couldn’t reach.
“Now she’s made it back from that world, alive. If I’m right, the High Priest is the one who brought her home.
“And her name? Lexie Goodwin.
“And there’s something even more important I need to tell you all. She’s not alone anymore, she already has mates and children.”
As soon as Frost said that, everyone went quiet for a moment. But after the silence, a flood of questions came pouring in.
They wanted to know how Frost got all that info about Lexie, and how he could be sure she was really who he said she was.
They also wanted to know where he got those photos of Lexie, and how did he even know about her mates and children if he never left that cave?
Faced with all their questions, Frost didn’t hold anything back, he spilled everything that had just gone down in the cave, not leaving out a single detail.
While telling the story, he also shared how he’d been just one step away from finally meeting Lexie, and how much he regretted missing her.
As Frost finished telling his story, everyone felt bad for him, but deep down, they couldn’t help but feel a sense of regret and longing too.
If only they could make it out alive after taking down those bloodthirsty beasts…
That’s the only way they’d ever get to meet their child.
