Seeing Lexie act like that, Ryker, who was sitting nearby, spoke at just the right moment, “Xander, stop staring. Lex isn’t an unclaimed artificial female bot. She’s with Marshal Drake.”
As soon as Ryker said that, Xander, who had been eyeing Lexie without restraint, instantly averted his gaze.
He immediately switched to a friendly face, flashing Lexie a big mile as he spoke, “Lex? Little bot, your name’s Lex?”
“Yeah, that’s me,” Lexie replied.
After the way Xander eyed her earlier, Lexie just wanted to ignore him.
Seeing Lexie’s unfazed look, Xander suddenly seemed to get an lea. He gestured at her thin frame and teased, “Lex, you’re so skinny.
“I have no clue what your designer was thinking. How did they end up making you so flat, with not a single curve anywhere?”
Hearing that, Lexie glanced down at her chest, now flat from being sick.
Her gaze dimmed for a moment, then she looked up at Xander’s broad, muscular build.
She replied coolly, “Yeah, my chest is flat. Can’t argue with that. ut I don’t get when they yanked you out of the Genesis Pod, were the scientists who cloned you actually trying to make you a female?
“Otherwise, how come your chest puts Luna’s to shame?
“Good thing you’re not a female, or with those boulder–sized pecs, you’d be ready to nurse yourself.”
As soon as Lex finished, Keon and Ryker couldn’t hold it in anymore and burst out laughing. Xander’s face was dark as hell.
After a moment, Xander looked at Lexie, a thoughtful look crossing his face.
“Lex, you’re an artificial female bot, and you actually have your own thoughts?” Xander asked, sounding surprised.
“I’m a top–tier model, so having self–awareness isn’t exactly rare. But let me ask you this, Mr. Xander Lewis, does your artificial female bot not have a mind of her own?” Lexie shot back.
“Her?” Xander echoed, then turned to glance at Luna, who was sitting obediently by his side with a sweet smile.
He grinned and added, “Luna, call me Master.”
“Master, what can I do for you?” Luna replied.
Her tone was so delicate, with a playful, almost coquettish lilt at the end.
That wasn’t the problem. What really made Lexie’s skin crawl was how scripted Luna’s speech sounded. It was like she was reading straight from a manual.
Anyone paying attention could instantly tell she was an artificial female bot just from the way she talked.
And her movements were so stiff and precise, like she was ticking off steps in some programmed routine.
In conclusion, Luna just screamed “bot” from every pore. No mater how much she looked like a real female, spend even a minute with her, and anyone would know she was nothing but a pot.
Luna was a high–tier artificial female bot, just like Lex. But the dference between them was night and day.

Just thinking about it, when Lexie caught Keon and Xander shooing her those weird looks again, it made her skin crawl
No wonder kron had asked Ryker right when he first laid eyes of her if she was a real fernale.
Honestly, his doubts weren’t totally baseless.
But Lexie didn’t know how she was supposed to prove them wrong.
Just as Lexie was starting to get anxious, Ryker, who had been siting quietly off to the side, finally spoke up.
He picked up some food for Lexie, then put on a cold, indifferent tone. “Keon, Xander, I know you two are jealous of Lex’s smarts and how quick she is.
“But let me make this clear, Lex is Marshal Drake’s artificial female bot now.
“So whatever schemes you’ve got cooking in your heads, you’d better squash them right now.
“You two can’t afford to cross Marshal Drake. Got it?”
With Ryker’s warning and the way he was sticking up for Lexie, con and Xander shot each other a look, both totally floored.
They never would’ve thought that the usually cold Ryker would and up for Lexie so directly, and even start throwing Marshal Drake’s name around for her.
They could tell Lexie actually mattered to Ryker.
Due to Keon and Xander constantly sizing her up, Lexie couldn enjoy her meal at all.
Still, since she wanted a closer look at Luna, she just gritted hereth and finished eating.
By the end of it, Lexie had to admit that her acting skills were seriously lacking. No matter how hard she tried, she could barely fool anyone into thinking she was a real artificial female bot.
After dinner, Lexie said her goodbyes to Keon and Xander, then urned to leave with Ryker.
But before she could get far, Keon caught up to her, leaned in, and whispered in her ear, “Listen, Lex, I know you’re special. Just remember–on Dophi Planet, don’t trust anyone but yourself.
“Since you saved my life today, I will return your favor.”
With that, Keon stepped back, watching with a smile as Lexie an Ryker walked away.
On the way back, Lexie glanced at Ryker sitting beside her and aked in a confused tone, “Ryker, after all this time, haven’t you noticed I’m not like other artificial female bots?”
Ryker nodded. “Yeah, I know. But honestly, all that matters to mis that you’re Lexie Goodwin. You’re my friend, the one who saved my life, and someone I want to protect for as long as live.
“Lex, as long as your identity doesn’t threaten the Aetherion Emire, it doesn’t matter to me who you really are. I’ll always have your back, no matter what.”
Hearing Ryker say that, Lexie opened her mouth, but she could find the words to explain herself. All she felt was a rush of
emotion.
“Ryker, I’m not a bad guy. I just… I don’t have a home anymore, exie said softly.
“I believe you,” Ryker replied.

When they got back, Ryker took Lexie to the place Austin had se up for her–a cozy villa all to herself.
The villa was close enough to Austin’s office for convenience, yet was private enough that they wouldn’t disturb each other
As they stepped inside, the whole place felt warm and inviting.
Ryker gave Lexie the grand tour from the bright, spacious living room, to the comfortable bedroom, and the kitchen stocked with everything she could need. Every inch of the villadiated a homey vibe.
Lexie looked around, feeling a rush of warmth in her heart. She ever imagined that, even as an artificial female bot, she’d ever get a cozy place to call her own.
Seeing Lexie’s face light up with happiness, Ryker couldn’t help but feel genuinely happy for her too.
He understood that for Lexie, this wasn’t just a house. It was a real home, a place where she could finally let her guard down and just be herself.
