The data stated that females were physically fragile. While they didn’t possess strong physiques, they had exquisite looks, delicate and soft skin, and most importantly, they could continue the beastman race’s bloodline.

And the most crucial point was that all females had a natural ability to cure gene diseases.

Thinking of this, Pulos suddenly had an absurd thought. He wondered, ‘Could Hill actually be a female?‘

Once this thought emerged, it refused to leave. He stared carefully at Lexie, trying to find some female characteristics in her. But apart from her clear and bright eyes and soft, delicate hands, he found no other traits similar to those of a female.

Lexie felt uncomfortable under Pulos‘ gaze. She coughed softly and said, “Pulos, could you let go of my hand first?”

Only then did Pulos realize his gaffe. He quickly released her hand and said awkwardly, “Hill, I’m sorry. Your hands are so soft. I’ve never felt anything like it on another beastman.”

He continued, “Plus, the scent on you is really nice. I zoned out for a moment and just… I’m so sorry, Hill. I didn’t mean to.”

Even though Pulos kept apologizing, he was extremely reluctant to let go of Lexie’s hand.

That soft touch seemed to strike straight at his heart. Coupled with Lexie’s comfortable and natural scent, Pulos couldn’t help but want to get closer to her.

He thought, ‘How wonderful it would be if Hill were a real female. Unfortunately, that’s impossible. The damn Clyssia Virus killed all the females in the Aetherion Interstellar Zone. With Ms. Graham’s passing, they disappeared completely.

Perhaps Pulos‘ reluctant expression was too obvious, so Lexie instinctively became alert.

She quickly pulled her hand back, took a step back unconsciously, and then explained gently, “Don’t worry about it, Pulos. My hands have always been like this, probably because I’m a Mermaid.”

She continued, “You know, we Mermaids live deep in the sea, and our skin is rarely exposed to sunlight, so it’s this soft.”

Her voice was gentle and warm, instantly dispelling the doubts in Pulos‘ heart.

There were only nine people. Lexie only sold ten flowers a day. Whoever bought a flower would receive free treatment for their gene disease from her.

Just as Lexie finished selling all ten flowers and was about to pack up and go home, a group of students in military uniforms ran anxiously toward her stall. “Hill, help!”

Watching the several cadets running toward her quickly, Lexie paused. She turned around and looked at them in. She asked, “Lorey, what’s wrong? What happened?”

The student named Lorey Keys said, “Hill, our instructor suddenly regressed to his primitive form. Now he’s lost his sanity. and is frantically attacking our classmates.

“Right now, our instructor has been restrained, but he’s too big–we can’t hold him for long.

“The higher–ups said that if there’s no way to cure our instructor, they’re going to send him to a desolate planet to fend for himself.

“Hill, our instructor is a good man. We don’t want him to die. Please, can you save him?”

Faced with Lorey’s plea, Lexie looked at the other students standing beside him, who were also begging for her help. She hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

Since arriving here, she had become quite familiar with Lorey and these other military cadets. Now they were facing a life- or–death emergency. If she refused to help, she would seem too cold–hearted.

However, there were some things she needed to make clear first–after all, she wasn’t a pushover. “Lorey, I can save him. Same as before–I want a million starcoins as payment. You pay, and I’ll save him.”

“No problem. We’ll transfer the million to you right away. Hill, can we leave now?” Lorey said.

“Sure,” Lexie replied.

Hearing Lexie’s agreement, the group of cadets led by Lorey immediately cheered up.

They said, “Hill, we forgot to drive a aerial craft when we came. How about we shift into our beast forms, and you can ride on our backs to save the instructor. Is that okay?”
