Lexie turned around and realized the person speaking was the dent she’d just helped out.
Hey, what’s your naine? Lexic asked.
The student Lexie had saved still had a faint blush on his cheeks He scratched his head, a little embarrassed, and replied shyly, “Hill, my name’s Evan Leigh. I’m a second–year student. 1ally can’t thank you enough today, Hill. If it weren’t for you, I probably wouldn’t have made it out of here.
“So, please take this Tumblebeast as a thank–you gift for saving me. It’s super fast and really friendly.
“Plus, it’s super low–maintenance. Just think of it as a new ride for you.
“Hill, hope you like it.”
“Of course not, I really don’t mind. Evan, I’ll gladly accept your Tumblebeast. Thanks a lot.
“I should go help the others over there, so I’ll head out now.”
“Go ahead, do your thing.”
Lexie edged closer to Tumblebeast, which towered over her.
Just as she was wondering how she was supposed to climb up, before Lexie even knew what was happening, she found herself perched on its back.
“Whoa, it’s so fluffy! This is wild, so cute, ahhh…”
But before she could finish, Tumblebeast shot off like a gust of wind.
By the time it stopped, Lexie was still mid-“ahh“!
‘Seriously, how does this legless little guy move so fast?‘
Lexie forced herself to calm down, slid off Tumblebeast, and got back to helping the others.
So during the 31–mile weighted endurance run, while everyone else was struggling under their heavy loads, Lexie was worn out from dashing all over the place, helping one person after another.
By the time the run was finally over, Lexie had no idea how many classmates she’d patched up. She was so spent she just collapsed onto Tumblebeast’s back, letting it haul her around without a care.
‘Man, I’m totally wiped out.
I’m honestly at a loss for words. How did everyone end up sick at the same time? I’d just finish helping one, would go down. It never ended!
‘After running 31 miles, I somehow became the busiest person out here.‘
and another
Seeing how exhausted Lexie looked, William Hawk, standing off to the side, couldn’t help but feel bad for her.

Most of the time, they could handle their gene diseases just fine but today, every single one of them was turning into fragile little females Seriously, how are they all suddenly acting sick at the same time? William wondered.
Seeing Lexie completely wiped out, Wiliam couldn’t help but feel bad for her. He turned to Serenus, who was standing Tearby
Serenus, healing the beastmen’s gene diseases is really draining Till’s energy and spirit. He’s been running himself ragged for so long, and now he’s totally exhausted.
“He’s saved so many people today–can you let him go rest now
“He can’t keep pushing himself like this, or he’ll burn himself out
Of course Serenus agreed right away–he already felt bad for Lexie.
He looked up at Lexie, sprawled out on Tumblebeast, too exhausted to even sit up, and spoke to her in a gentle voice.
“Hill, you’re off the hook for the rest of the training. Go get some rest–you’ve earned it,” he said.
“Really?”
As soon as she heard she was off the hook for the rest of the training, she perked right up.
“Serenus, since I don’t have to do the rest of the training, can I go out and check out the city?” Lexie asked eagerly.
“Nope, it’s not time yet, so you can’t go out. You can either keep training or head back and rest,” Coach Serenus said.
“Then I guess I’ll just go rest.”
As soon as she realized she couldn’t leave campus, Lexie instantly felt all her energy drain away–she just slumped in defeat.
Seeing Lexie so wiped out, Serenus couldn’t help but smile to himself before saying, “Hill, if you don’t fi to your dorm to rest, you can always go check out the hill behind the school instead.
“The view’s pretty great, and it’s totally safe. Why not take your Tumblebeast and go explore for a bit?
“The hill behind the school? I’ve never checked it out! Serenus, I’m heading there now!”
heading back
Before Serenus could even get a word in, Lexie gave her Tumblebeast an enthusiastic pat and cheered, “Let’s go, Fluffy! GO GO GO!”
At Lexie’s command, Tumblebeast shot off like a bullet, leaving everyone in the dust.
It moved so fast that it kicked up a cloud of dirt as it took off. By the time the dust settled, Lexie was already gone.
Everyone just stood there, quietly watching the direction Lexie had disappeared in. After a while, someone finally muttered, “Wow, he’s fast!”
“Haha…”
Everyone burst out laughing.

After all, even if someone did collapse, nobody was going to boer with them.
Unless, of course, they were literally unable to get up at all–that was a different story.
Meanwhile, since there weren’t any exotic beasts on the hill, Lexe found a sunny spot, managed to locate Tumblebeast’s mouth, and gave it two bottles of high–grade nutrient fluid. The with her well–fed Tumblebeast by her side, she stretched out on a bed of dry leaves, basking in the sunlight.
With the shade of the trees overhead, the sun wasn’t too harsh. Before she knew it, Lexie ended up dozing off.
