The Lies Behind Her Marriage novel Chapter 138

Doing Unspeakable Things.

Serena was completely lost in the moment.

Their mouths moved together, tasting and relearning what it used to feel like.

Their breathing was ragged.

They clung to each other with aching urgency, driven by a need neither of them knew how to deny.

She and Nathaniel were at it so intensely that she didn’t have time to think; the sound of their lips smacking together was the only thing she could hear.

At one point, he lifted her by the waist, and in the next, she was lying on the outdoor sofa, his weight pressing down on her, their legs quickly tangled.

And oh, she could definitely feel his angry boner.

“Fuck, I missed you so much,” Nathaniel whispered before recapturing her lips, his hand firmly holding her face, as if he could kiss her any deeper.

Serena said nothing. She simply kissed him back.

Her eyes turned dreamy as she relished his familiar taste.

Like Nathaniel, her hands were on his face. Sometimes, her fingers curled into his hair.

Down there, the butterflies in her stomach were going wild, and her leg was wrapped around his thigh.

There was an electrifying sensation all over her body, making her writhe beneath Nathaniel.

More than the gratifying feeling, she felt desired and wanted.

Her heart was racing. The situation frightened her, but at the same time, she didn’t want it to end.

Serena’s body remembered him too well.

“I missed you so much,” he said hoarsely. He let go of her lips to leave kisses along her jaw and slowly down to her neck.

Serena gasped.

Her eyes fluttered, recognizing the goosebumps all over her skin.

She remembered well how, in the past, Nathaniel could barely keep his hands off her when they were making love.

Before she knew it, his right hand found its way to her bare breast.

She looked down at her chest, startled.

Serena didn’t even notice how he had managed to pull her dress down to reveal her bosom.

When she stilled, Nathaniel looked into her eyes. There was an intensity there that was too familiar. He said in a deep voice, “Don’t make me apologize for that.”

Nathaniel sat up, quickly removing his shirt. Then, shamelessly, he suggested, “This should make things fair between us.”

Serena, "..."

She was rendered speechless.

A small part of Serena wanted to object, but once his rippling muscles were there for her to see and touch, the words stuck in her throat.

He grabbed her hand and pressed it against his abs.

They were nice.

In fact, she let her hand roam a little lower.

And... a little more.

Each time she moved her hand, she took a deep breath.

After that, everything seemed to slow down a bit. Nathaniel lowered himself over her, but this time, his gaze was full of longing. He cupped her face and said, “I really did miss you.”

“Nathan? Serena? Are you both up here? Sterling is looking for you, Serena.”

It was Bianca!

“Fuck,” Nathaniel groaned. He got up abruptly and grabbed his shirt.

Serena also sat up and fixed her dress.

When Bianca found them, they were still in a mess. Nathaniel was still buttoning his shirt while Serena was pulling her skirt down.

“Oh.” Bianca’s mouth rounded. She smiled a bit, adding, "Oh."

Then another voice rang out.

“Bianca, are Nathan and Serena there?” It was Sterling.

“I’ll stall him,” Bianca offered, rushing down to the second floor.

“Oh my God!” Serena exclaimed. She combed her hair with her fingers. “Your mother just caught us doing unspeakable things!”

“Unspeakable?” Nathaniel reacted, buttoning the last of his shirt. He put his hands on his waist and laughed lightly. “Serena, we used to be married. We have two kids. This is completely normal.”

He grabbed the velvet box containing the necklace and pendant, giving it to her. "Take this."

After Serena accepted the necklace, Nathaniel said, “Let’s go.”

They made it down the second floor of the mansion, just in time to find Sterling and Celine checking on Sebastian.

Sterling was nodding in approval as he closed the door to Sebastian's room. When he spotted Serena and Nathaniel, he asked, "What were you both doing upstairs?"

"Nothing, unspeakable, Sir, Mr. Vander," Nathaniel said with a smile. "I can assure you."

Serena frowned.
