Two People Coming Home.
Silas had always considered himself a man of control.
That night proved otherwise.
Something in him had snapped the moment Noelle took the initiative. And after that, whatever restraint he had carefully built over the years… didn’t stand a chance.
He lost track of time somewhere between the bed and the rest of the room. The sheets had long since been abandoned, tangled and forgotten, as he pulled her back to him again and again, each time like it still wasn’t enough.
He should have slowed down. He knew that.
He didn’t.
Every time he told himself this was the last, she would look at him, or breathe his name, or react in a way that made something dark and possessive in him tighten, and suddenly, stopping wasn’t even an option.
He told himself it was the wine. Unfortunately, he knew better.
This was years of restraint catching up all at once.
And the most dangerous part?
He wasn’t even close to being done.
In their fifth round, Silas had begged Noelle to be on top of him.
She did, sheepishly, by the sofa.
But when he entered her, it came naturally to her.
Her cheeks flushed. Her eyes turned dreamy, and she looked at him in a way that said she wanted him just as much as he wanted her.
“Silas, you are so big,” she said breathlessly. “You make me feel so good. I keep coming and coming.”
Noelle was rocking over him, her breasts bouncing with her.
Silas reached for her neck. He grabbed a bosom and said, “You are mine from now on. No more Brian. I’ll please you however you want.”
Noelle nodded while sinking herself deeper into him. She shut her eyes and answered, “No more Brian. You feel so much better.”
A smirk formed on his face.
Silas felt completely proud.
He pulled her closer. Skin to skin, his arm wrapped around her waist while he relished her breasts, his tongue circling her nipple.
“Fuck, I can’t get enough of you,” he said under his breath.
Noelle’s cries filled the air. Silas only pulled away when he noticed she was completely soaked.
Silas felt a surge of pride, seeing her come undone around him. Even more so when Noelle begged, “Kiss me.”
Their lips met, and Noelle answered him with the same urgency, just as needy, just as unwilling to hold back.
Silas felt Noelle’s walls tighten around him. It made him grunt as they moved together.
He wanted so badly to finish inside her, but he held himself back.
Theo had not yet fully experienced what it meant to have a family. To Silas, it would be unfair to bring another child into their lives when Theo had been missing the love of his parents for so long.
It took everything in him, just like the last four times.
Silas held her waist tightly. With one swift move, he laid Noelle on the sofa. He pulled out and released on her chest.
“Ah!” A loud moan escaped him.
Silas felt goosebumps all over.
He threw his head back, eyes fluttering, before he lowered himself and captured her lips.
His small arms were marred with faint bruises and tiny prick marks, as if someone had dug sharp nails into his skin.
“Your precious Gwen did this to my grandson,” Edward said, his tone dropping into something colder. “He was too scared to even say her name. That’s the woman you defended.”
“You really have a talent, Brian,” he added. “Out of all the women in the world, you managed to pick a cheating, abusive one.”
Brian’s lips parted, but no words came out.
Edward continued, “you had a good family, and you traded it in for… that whore.”
Regret crept in, slow and suffocating.
Brian had spent the entire night replaying everything—Gwen, Logan, the lies. And now this.
Each realization hit harder than the last.
“Dad…” Brian’s voice cracked. “Please… tell Noelle I’m sorry. Tell her we can still make this work. I’ll do anything if she forgives me.”
Edward stared at him like he was looking at a stranger.
Then he scoffed.
“Make it work?” he repeated. “With what exactly? Your judgment?”
He shook his head, almost in disbelief.
“Do you hear yourself?” Edward added. “You lost your wife, your dignity, and your common sense, and you even committed a crime!"
Brian flinched.
Edward leaned in slightly, his voice turning colder.
“Let me save you the embarrassment,” he said. “Between you and Silas Vander, you’re not even a choice.”
