The Loser Ex-Wife Came Back Hot novel Chapter 6

Hearing Nova's instructions, the driver beamed with absolute delight. "Miss, you should have done this a long time ago!"

Nova was the ultimate pride and joy of the Donald family, pampered since birth and protected at all costs.

She was supposed to study abroad, but because of her engagement to Caleb, she had insisted on attending Lindenwood Preparatory Academy just to spend time with him.

Truthfully, Mr. and Mrs. Donald absolutely despised the idea of her marrying Caleb. The Langdon family was currently teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. A declining family like theirs wasn't remotely worthy of The Donald Group!

Nova asked casually, "Do we have a dinner tonight?"

"Yes, ma'am. It's to discuss your engagement to Caleb."

"Perfect."

Nova remembered clearly that in her past life, her parents had tried to cancel the engagement at this exact dinner. However, Mrs. Langdon was desperate for Nova to marry in, and though Caleb was entirely against it, he couldn't fight his mother's demands.

After all, the Langdons were sinking fast. If the Donald family didn't step in to help, The Langdon Corporation would be bankrupt within six months.

In her past life, Nova had been too soft-hearted. Unable to bear the thought of her childhood crush losing everything, she had eagerly agreed to marry him right after graduation.

But in this life, she wasn't going to be that stupid.

Soon, the car glided to a stop in front of The Four Seasons Hotel. Nova stepped out and immediately spotted Caleb waiting near the entrance.

He was wearing the same school uniform as her, but they looked like they belonged in entirely different worlds.

Right now, she was a two-hundred-pound teenager, her uniform stretching tightly over her frame. Even though her facial features were decent, nobody would ever look at her and picture her standing next to the tall, striking Caleb.
