THE LUNA WHO CONQUERED DEATH
Chapter 35: Divided Front
We hit the security door at full speed.
Claim
Riley’s shield became a battering ram, fueled by desperation and my Alpha power. The reinforced steel buckled. Katherine and Elena shifted, their combined wolf strength tearing through the damaged barrier.
Alarms shrieked. Hunters poured from side corridors.
“Jade, make them sleep!” I commanded.
The eighteen–year–old’s face was pale with strain, but she reached out with her gift. Wave after wave of overwhelming exhaustion crashed over the approaching Hunters. They collapsed mid–stride, weapons clattering to the floor.
We ran through corridors of unconscious bodies, Riley
I us from
automated defenses. My
pregnant belly made me slower than the others, but I pushed through the pain.
“Sera, you’re bleeding,” Elena said, alarm in her voice.
I glanced down. She was right. Blood stained my pants. Not a lot, but enough to be concerning.
“I’m fine. Keep moving.”
“You’re not fine. That’s”
“I SAID KEEP MOVING!” My Alpha command rang through the hallway. “My pack is under attack. We get
there. We fight. I’ll worry about bleeding after.”
We burst through the building’s main entrance, triggering every alarm. Human security guards scrambled.
Police sirens wailed in the distance.
“We need a vehicle,” Katherine said.
“There.” I pointed to a delivery truck idling at the loading dock. “Riley, can you hot–wire it?”
“I can barely stand. Maintaining shields for thirty minutes straight…” She swayed, and Jade caught her.
“I’ve got it.” Katherine ran to the truck, smashing the window. Seconds later, the engine roared.
We piled in. Katherine drove like a demon possessed, weaving through Seattle traffic at speeds that would have gotten us arrested on a normal day.
“How far to Crescent Moon?” Jade asked.
“Two hours. Maybe ninety minutes if we’re lucky,” I pulled out my phone. Still no signal. “They’re jamming a huge area. Adrian’s right. This was planned.”

“Can you feel the pack through your Alpha bonds?” Elena asked.
Clanm
I reached out through that supernatural connection, feeling for my wolves. The Crescent Moon was under attack. I felt fear, pain, and determination. Marcus was leading the defense. Lucas was fighting. But they
were outnumbered.
“They’re fighting. Still alive.” My voice was tight. “But struggling.”
“We’re not going to make it in time,” Katherine said, her knuckles white on the steering wheel. “Even pushing maximum speed, two hours is too long.”
She was right. By the time we arrived, the battle would be over. One way or another.
Unless…
“Pull over,” I said suddenly.
“What?”
“Pull over. Now.”
Katherine swerved to the shoulder. I climbed out, stumbling slightly a as another wave of pain hit. The bleeding was getting worse.
“Sera, you need a hospital,” Elena said.
“I need to save my pack.” I moved away from the truck, finding space. “All of you, get back.”
“What are you doing?” Katherine asked, but there was understanding dawning in her eyes.
“Something my mother never taught me because she didn’t know if I’d survive it.” I closed my eyes,
reaching deep into my daughter’s gifts. “Long–range pack transport. Seventh–generation ability.
Theoretically possible but never tested.”
“Theoretically? Sera, you can’t.”
“I can try.” I let power build, silver light spiraling around me. “My pack is dying. I’m their Alpha, Which means I don’t need to physically travel to reach them.”
ľ
The power exploded outward, wrapping around Katherine, Elena, Riley, Jade, and Maya. They gasped as silver light enveloped them.
“Hold on to each other,” I commanded. “This is going to feel strange.”
“Strange how?” Jade asked.
“Like being torn apart and reassembled somewhere else.”
“That’s not comforting.”
The world dissolved.
Meanwhile, at Crescent Moon, Marcus fought for his life.

Claim
The hunters had come at dusk, materializing from the forest in coordinated teams. Fifty, maybe sixty of them. All armed with silver weapons, all trained and ruthless.
The first warning had been wolves screaming as silver bullets tore through them.
Marcus had mobilized immediately, pulling warriors to defensive positions. Lucas coordinated the perimeter. Torres, surprisingly, had grabbed a weapon and joined the defense despite being under guard.
But they were outnumbered and outgunned.
“The east wall is falling!” Lucas’s voice crackled over the radio. “They’re using silver grenades!”
