But the darkness pulled me under.

I’d conquered death once before.

This time, I wasn’t sure I had the strength.

Meanwhile, at Crescent Moon, Luna’s eyes tracked the ceiling as if seeing things no one else could.

Elena held her, marveling at how such a tiny being could radiate so much power.

“What are you, little one?” she whispered.

Luna’s silver eyes shifted to her, and Elena would swear later that the baby smiled.

Then Luna began to glow.

“Dr. Moira!” Elena called urgently.

The doctor rushed over, then stopped, staring. “What… how is she doing that?”

Silver light poured from the infant, gentle but pervasive. It spread through the medical wing, touching

every wounded warrior.

Injuries healed. Faster than should be possible, even for supernatural beings. Silver wounds that should

“She’s healing them,” Katherine breathed, watching in awe. “A newborn, and she’s already using her gifts.”

Then the light shot outward, traveling miles in an instant.

The footage showed Luna, glowing in Elena’s arms, light spreading through Crescent Moon. Every

wounded wolf heals simultaneously.

“She did this,” Diana said. “Hours old, and she healed an entire pack.”

I watched my daughter on the screen, power radiating from her impossibly small form.

“The Covenant wanted to harvest supernatural abilities,” I said quietly. “Wait until they learn what the daughter of a seventh generation and a hybrid can do.”

“They’ll never stop coming for her.”

“I know,” I looked at Adrian. “Which is why we’re going to destroy them. Completely. Every cell, every

operative, every supporter.”

“Ambitious,” he said. “I approve.”

We left Apex Industries as it burned behind us. Hunters had set fires trying to destroy evidence. Instead, they’d created a beacon.

The supernatural world would know what happened here. Would know that humans had tried to harvest their gifts.

And they’d know that Crescent Moon had stopped them.

But this wasn’t over.
