The Moment I Realized I Can't Lose You novel Chapter 127

"That was so badass!" In the back of Bianca's SUV, Nora leaned forward, eyes shining with adoration. "You have no idea how ugly their faces got when you dropped that bomb! Did you actually know who leaked it?"

Bianca kept her eyes on the road. "Yeah, are you sure?"

"Of course," Audrey said, her eyes narrowing. "The Judd family is entirely devoid of actual warmth or affection. The only people who care about my marital status are Silas, and my lovely mother-in-law."

"Oh, then it's definitely the mother-in-law," Bianca nodded in realization. "Mr. Judd adores you. He'd never do something so vile."

"Yeah." Audrey gazed out the window, watching the city blur by. "Silas has been incredibly kind to me this past year. It's a shame we weren't meant to be family." Once the divorce was finalized and she left Silveridge, she'd likely never see the old man again.

"The news is gone!" Nora gasped, frantically swiping at her phone. "Everything about the marriage is completely scrubbed from the internet! It's only been a few minutes. Who works that fast?" She looked at Miles, who was sitting quietly next to her in the back seat. "Did you do this too?"

Miles ignored the question. He glanced out the rear window at the intimidating fleet of SUVs trailing them. "Where did you get so many friends with matching armored cars?"

"Oh, they aren't my friends," Bianca laughed, waving a hand. "They're Audrey's. They're her—"

"Bianca," Audrey interrupted smoothly, killing the topic. "What's for lunch? My treat."

Nora glanced back at the convoy. "Are they eating with us?"

"No." Audrey typed a quick message on her phone. "They have a major tournament coming up in a few days. They can't risk eating outside food."

The moment she hit send, the fleet of SUVs immediately slowed down and broke off at the next intersection.

"Spicy hotpot?" Bianca suggested.

"No." Nora blurted out instantly. "Mr. Foster can't eat spicy food. Let's go somewhere else."
