Chapter 83: Coronation Day
Ryder’s POV
Last night didn’t exactly qualify as quiet.

I had been in my office with my highest-ranking leaders, hammering out the last details
of our upgraded security, when Iron Fang hit me through the mind-link-sharp, urgent,
no wasted words. He needed me now. My mate was with some unknown sorcerer.
I didn’t walk. I launched.
Talon surged forward and we burned through the halls on that new vamp speed,
arriving just in time to watch the King’s sorcerer lay his hands on Bridget. She fought like fury itself, and a portal split open behind him as if he planned to vanish the second he
got what he wanted.
Iron Fang ended that plan with one clean strike-both of the bastard’s arms gone in a
blink.
He could’ve finished him. Chapter Unlocked, Enjoy Reading!
He knew I needed the ending.
I have never enjoyed taking someone’s head the way I did in that moment.
But that was last night.
This morning is coronation day-nothing but ceremony and celebration barreling toward
the walls.
We’ve called in every kind of supernatural we could reach: werewolves, vampires,
witches, fairies-traveling in from everywhere. Lycans. Were-bears. Hybrids that don’t fit
neat categories. The whole world is showing up because word has already spread: my
mate is the Omni-Wolf.
Everyone wants to see her.
Everyone wants something.
Alliances are being whispered into existence in every corner, and I have been meeting with leaders without stopping. There’s a mountain of work left.

Still-today we celebrate.
Today Bridget and I become the official Alpha and Luna of the Blackwood Rowen Pack.
Right now, though, I’m walking into our room with a food cart and a mission: surprise
her.
I try to move silently. I truly do.
Unfortunately, being seven feet tall and attempting “quiet” with a dainty cart makes me
feel like a wrecking ball wearing slippers. Talon isn’t helping-he’s about as subtle as a
drunken ox on ice.
‘Ass,’ Talon snaps through the link. ‘You’re the one stumbling. I could stalk any creature
alive without a sound.’
I start to answer, already amused, when he shuts me down with a wall of attitude.
“Good morning, Alpha,” comes a soft, sleepy voice from the bed. “Are you done picking
on Talon?”
Bridget shifts under the sheets, stretching like she owns the sunrise. Her hair is wild in
every direction.
And yeah-around midnight, I had decided I needed her, and “needed” turned into
several rounds. Somewhere in that, her hair came down and I’d used it like a handle.
“Did he really go tattling to Mystique?” I ask, pausing with the cart.
“I didn’t need him to,” Bridget says with a laugh as she sits up. “I felt his emotions.
You’re the only one who gets him like that.”
Her gaze catches the cart. Her whole face changes.
“What is this?”
I roll it closer, then park it beside our small dining table-the one meant for two.
“I wanted you to wake up to breakfast on your coronation day,” I tell her. “And I went
down and cooked it myself.”
She’s out of bed in an instant, sliding into the chair with her legs tucked beneath her. “Wait-hold on. You cook? Why am I learning this now, Ryder?”

I reach for the cover with a grin. “Let’s not add ‘chef’ to my list until you taste it.”
I lift the lid.
“Scrambled eggs and bacon. Breakfast potatoes. Toast,” I say, pointing as I go. “Fruit salad over here. And-because I’m not a monster-coffee and orange juice.”
I drape a towel over my forearm like I’m a waiter in some fancy place.
Bridget laughs-bright, delighted-and claps like I’ve just performed a miracle.
“This is gorgeous. I’m starving. Hurry up, let’s eat.”
She reaches for a serving spoon and I tap her hand away.
“Aht, aht.” I keep my voice firm, teasing. “I’m serving you, my lady.”
She gives me that look-one brow lifted, daring me to keep going.
One of the things I adore about her is that she has never pretended to be delicate. She eats like she lives: unapologetically. I make sure her plate isn’t “a little taste” of anything. More eggs. More potatoes. More bacon.
Her smile says I chose correctly.
I fix my own plate and we dig in.
“Well, Alpha,” she says between bites, “we can officially add ‘cook’ to your resume.” She
nods, approving. “This is amazing. Well done, Alpha Ryder.”
“Thank you, Luna Bridget,” I answer, and my voice comes out rougher than I mean.
I don’t wait.
I pull her into my lap.
She straddles me easily, like she belongs there-because she does. I kiss along her throa
t, breathing her in. She smells like caramel cake, sweet enough to make me lose my
mind, and I drag my tongue over her skin.
Bridget’s moan vibrates against me.
She’s wearing nothing but my T-shirt.
I lift it over her head, and she’s bare in my hands-perfect, offered up like the most

dangerous gift. I cup her breasts, mouth closing over her nipples as she arches.
Her fingers slide down my chest, over my abs, and into my pants. She wraps both hands around my cock.
I’m already hard. Already ready.
She rises just enough for me to shove my pants down, then she leans in and kisses me- tongue in my mouth-while she lowers herself onto me in one slow, claiming motion.
Her sound is trapped between our lips.
I grab her hips and guide her down until she’s seated fully, and her tight heat grips me
like home.
I move her slowly on purpose.
I can feel what she wants-hard, fast, reckless.
But I keep control.
She might be the Omni-Wolf to the world, but in this room she doesn’t have to carry
anybody’s expectations. Here, she gets to let go. I’ll hold the reins. I’ll let her just be.
“Ryder…” she breathes.
“Bridget…” I answer, still moving at that torturous pace.
Her voice turns messy, honest. “This feels… so good. It’s too much, and it’s perfect at the
same time.”
My hand slides between us and I circle her clit, measured, exact.
“This is only a preview for tonight,” I murmur into her ear. “Now come for me, Bridget.”
She starts to shake.
I keep the pressure right where she needs it, soft but relentless, until she breaks-
soaking me as she falls apart.
“That’s it,” I groan, losing my own control in the slow burn. “Come on my dick, baby.
Yeah-like that.”
My release builds fast.

I stand with her still in my arms and set her down on the table like she weighs nothing. Plates scrape; food slides. I shove the breakfast to the floor without a second thought.
She lies back as I lift her legs, and then I drive into her hard-no more restraint. Wet sounds bounce off the walls with each thrust.
“Oh, Ryder!” she screams, coming again.
I spill inside her, spent and satisfied and possessive in a way I don’t bother hiding.
Today the world will learn what I already know.
She is mine.
Every beautiful inch-inside and out.
pull out slowly and help her down from the table. Then I swing her over my shoulder and head for the shower, stepping right over what used to be my surprise breakfast.
“Ryder!” she shouts, laughing like she’s half furious and half thrilled.
A knock cuts through it.
“Knock knock! Time to get ready!” my mother calls. “I need my Luna so we can start hair
and makeup!”
Behind her, I can hear it-multiple voices, movement, the entire glam squad waiting like an approaching storm.
“Okay, Mom,” Bridget calls back. “Give us a second!”
I lower her gently, and she smiles up at me like she knows exactly what she’s done to
“Go shower,” I tell her. “I’ll use another bathroom. I’ll let them in.”
“Keep your mind-link open for me,” she says as the water turns on, her tone suddenly
softer.
I lean in and kiss her. “Always, babe. I’ll see you soon.”
I cross the room and open the door.
My mother stands there, impatient in the way only she can be, with her team clustered behind her like a small army.

“Thank the goddess,” she says, grinning. “Finally. You weren’t going to leave your sweet
mother out here forever, were you?”
“I wouldn’t dare,” I say.
She points a finger at me. “Go find your father and get ready. I want to see you in your
suit. I know you’re going to look handsome.”
“Sure thing.” I step in, hug her, then tilt my head toward the bathroom. “Take care of my
girl.”
I even throw in a wink.
Her smile turns warm. “I promise.”
Then she spins on her heel and starts issuing commands. Brushes, cases, dresses-her team hustles into position like they’ve rehearsed this for weeks.
After a quick shower in another room, I pull on joggers and a T-shirt and make for my dad’s office. I need an update on last night. I’d asked him to handle everything while I
stayed with Bridget.
He looks up the second I walk in.
“Son,” he says, already irritated, “why are you here? Why are you not dressed? We have
two hours until show time.”
“I know,” I say, taking a seat. “I needed a status check. Have we heard from the King and
Queen?”
Dad exhales like he understands exactly why I’m doing this-and that I won’t stop until
he answers.
“Yes. They’re en route.” His tone hardens. “They’re claiming they had no idea about
Lysander or whatever he was planning.”
“Do we buy that?”
“I don’t,” he says flatly. “And neither do you. That’s probably why they’re arriving today
instead of sleeping here.”
He ticks the rest off like a list he’s already memorized. “We’ve raised security again.
Warriors are doubled. Every pack called in more fighters to guard our Luna-our Omni-

Wolf. Violet’s coven is placing a protection spell over the pack lands.”
He points toward the door. “Now go put on your damn suit before your mother kills both
of us.”
“Alright,” I say, standing. “I’ll get dressed. And I’ll run another perimeter check.”
As I leave, I hear Dad chuckle-low, tired-before he drops his attention back to his
work.
