Chapter 95 Home, at last…

Bridget’s POV

Ryder’s fingers lace through mine as we step through the portal and the world snaps

back into what I know as home.

Evelyn is the first face I catch-she’s sprinting straight for me, like the sight of the blood doesn’t even register.

“I missed you so freaking much!”

She crashes into me, arms tight, and her tears smear warm against my cheek. I squeeze

her back, holding on a beat longer than I mean to.

“I missed you too,” I breathe.

Adrian wedges in, laughing as she pries us apart.

“You’re not going anywhere without me ever again,” she warns, voice sharp but shaking.

“I missed you.”

She pulls me into her again, fiercer this time. I slide my hand over her hair, slow and

steady, until her heartbeat quits racing under my palm.

Everybody sees Adrian as unbreakable-steel spine, stone expression. The truth is

softer.

She just won’t show it to anyone but me.

Ryder’s arm hooks around my waist. “Alright. I’m taking my woman upstairs. She needs

to get clean.”

“I need, like… two showers and then a bath,” I mumble.

Adrian tilts her head, assessing the mess I’m in. “You look like Carrie-right after the

pig’s blood, right before she wrecks the whole room.”

A laugh slips out of me, thin but real.

Ryder starts guiding me toward the pack house steps. “Let’s get you washed, fed, and then you’re resting.”

“No.” I stop. The word comes out stronger than I feel. “Wait. I need to say something.”

Ryder studies me, worry cutting through his relief. “You sure? It’s been hell for you.”

I nod.

He turns, voice carrying. “Everyone-our Luna, the Omni-Wolf, has something she wants

to say.”

The noise dies instantly. Dozens of eyes settle on me, steady and respectful, and it

squeezes at my chest.

“I’ll keep it short,” I say, swallowing around the tightness in my throat. “Thank you-for

helping rescue me. What you did matters, and it won’t ever be erased from our history.”

I look from face to face.

“Alpha Ryder and I, on behalf of the Blackwood Rowen Pack, won’t forget this. We’re

one. We protect each other as one. Thank you. Truly. I owe you all.”

Cheers roll through the crowd.

Ryder’s POV

As the celebration swells, I mind-link Connor.

‘You’re in charge while I take care of Bridget. Get Lucas and Pierce to back you up. And

make sure everyone here has what they need.’

“Copy that, Alpha,” Connor answers immediately, giving me a crisp nod. “Send the Luna

my regards.”

Inside the pack house, they keep stopping her-hands on her shoulders, quick embraces,

welcome-home murmurs. Bridget accepts every one of them, even with exhaustion

pulling at her.

We finally reach the elevator.

The doors are almost closed when two kids-no more than seven or eight-come

barreling down the hall.

Instinct takes over. I step in front of Bridget, filling the space.

They skid to a stop. Their eyes drop to the floor like they’re bracing for punishment.

Bridget’s hand lands on my arm, gentle but firm, and she leans around my side. “Ryder.

It’s okay.”

She crouches to their height, and the fear on their faces evaporates.

“Hi,” she says, soft.

“Hi, Luna Bridget!” the first boy blurts, beaming. “We’re so glad you’re back!”

The second boy lifts a card and a flower-but hesitates, glancing at me first to gauge

it’s allowed.

I give him a small nod.

“We drew you this,” he says, offering the card, “and this is for you.”

Bridget’s smile turns warm in a way that makes my chest ache. “Thank you. I love it.

What are your names?”

“Logan,” the first one says quickly. “And that’s my brother.”

if

“Charlotte,” the second announces with total seriousness. “My name is Charlotte, Luna.”

Bridget’s eyebrows lift, amused. “Well, Logan and Charlotte, it’s very nice to meet you.

Thank you for the card and the flower.”

I nod once. “Good pups. Now run along-your Luna needs sleep.”

They grin and race off, waving as the elevator doors slide shut.

Bridget elbows me lightly. “Big, scary Alpha. Terrorizing children.”

“I’ll scare off the entire world if that’s what it takes,” I tell her, and I take her hand again.

When we reach our door, I open it and gesture her in. “I’m starting your shower.”

She walks into the room and then just… stops.

Like she doesn’t recognize the space as hers.

I adjust the water until it’s perfect, then turn-and find her leaning on the doorway, eyes

fixed on me.

“I missed you,” she whispers.

“I missed you too, babe.” My voice breaks through the control I’ve been forcing. “I was losing my mind.”

I pull her close and try to get her out of the dress, but it’s clinging-stuck to blood and

sweat and whatever else she endured.

So I guide her under the spray as she is.

The water darkens, rinsing red away in rivers. Once the fabric loosens, I peel it off

carefully and start washing her skin, slow and thorough.

She shivers at my touch in that way that isn’t just cold.

Her hands go to my clothes, dragging them down, tugging at soaked fabric until my shirt

is gone. Those hazel eyes lock on me, bright and hungry and exhausted all at once.

Her fingers trace my chest, then lower, and the bond lights up with every pass.

“I have to wash your hair,” I say, stern on purpose.

She gives me a look like she might argue, but then turns, back to me.

I work shampoo into her thick curls, massaging carefully, then rinse it out minutes later. My mouth finds her neck-kisses along the curve, down to the place I marked her.

My hands slide over her, down her sides, over her breasts, then lower.

Her breath breaks into soft sounds that ask for more without words.

I slip my fingers between her thighs.

She’s soaked.

And I’m hard from missing her this badly.

My lips stay at her neck while my hand learns her again.

“I need you now,” I whisper.

She shuts off the water and faces me, want and need written plain across her

expression.

She nods.

I lift her, and she wraps her legs around my waist like she’s claiming me. We’re dripping

when I carry her to the bed. I lower her onto the sheets, gentle, and start kissing everywhere I can reach-neck, collarbone, breasts.

I take a nipple between my teeth, slow, and she arches toward me.

I move lower, mouth trailing along her stomach while she opens for me.

“What do you want, Bridget?” I tease.

Her hands clamp on my shoulders and shove me down with zero hesitation.

I grin at the fire in her.

Then I bury my face between her thighs and devour her like I’ve been starving.

I hold her legs steady while I taste her, drink her in, and her moans keep pulling me deeper. Her name on her lips-my name-pushes me on.

My tongue flicks over her until she’s trembling, and I slide one finger in, then a second,

pumping as I hit that spot that breaks her every time.

“Ryder,” she warns, voice tight.

I don’t stop.

I go faster, relentless, and her body arches hard into my mouth.

‘Come for me, baby,’ I mind-link, my mouth still working.

She nods, fingers tangled in my hair, yanking me closer.

“Ryder!”

She screams as she locks up, shaking. I keep her pinned and keep tasting her through it, sucking her nub until another orgasm rips through her.

“Oh goddess-yes!”

I can’t wait.

I need to be inside her. I need to feel her squeezing around me the way she squeezed my fingers.

I release her legs and crawl up her body, lining myself up with her slick entrance.

Then I thrust deep.

“I’m coming!” she gasps, and it hits her again immediately.

I bottom out, then grind as deep as I can, chasing that perfect fit. My mouth slams onto hers. She tastes herself on my lips and then opens for my tongue.

Our bodies crash together, my thrusts turning urgent-needing her to feel me, needing

her to remember I’m here and she’s here and she’s safe.

“More!” she shouts.

I pull out and flip her onto all fours, then drive back into her in one smooth push. I grip

her hips, setting the pace hard.

She pushes back, begging for it.

My hand presses at the back of her neck, guiding her down into the pillow, her ass lifted

-perfectly presented.

The angle lets me go deeper.

I ram into her harder, faster, every thrust hitting where she needs it.

“Please-don’t-stop,” she moans into the pillow between each slam.

Her body starts to shake again, and I’m right on the edge.

“I need to see you fall apart,” I growl.

I pull out and roll her onto her back, then she shoves me down and climbs on top,

straddling me and taking me fully.

Goddess.

She’s heaven.

She’s everything.

I sit up while she rides me, our hands roaming-touching, gripping, rediscovering. Her

eyes start to glow. I feel mine answering.

Every time she moves, her walls squeeze me, and I’m done.

“Fuck, Bridget-here I come.”

My canines extend, and I need her taste like a hunger.

I bite into her neck, marking her again, and we break together.

Then she bites my neck back, and white light blasts behind my eyes.

I come hard inside her, flooding her, feeling it coat her walls.

She keeps milking me until my whole body is shaking.

I roll us over, still buried deep, not letting her go. Her face is soft, beautiful, wrecked in

the best way, and she shivers with aftershocks while I give her tiny, slow thrusts.

“I missed you so much, Bridget,” I whisper at her ear, kissing her lobe.

“I missed you too,” she murmurs.

I kiss her eyelids as she drifts. I’m still inside her when I turn onto my back, pulling her

onto my chest.

She nestles in and starts to snore-quiet, finally peaceful.

I stay perfectly still, stroking her hair, until sleep takes me too.

Her scream yanks me out of it.

The room is dark. Bridget is next to me, clutching the sheets like she’s drowning.

I snap the lights on.

She’s trembling-eyes wide, searching.

“Bridget.” I keep my voice calm as I reach for her slowly. “You’re okay. You’re home,

babe. Look at me. Just me.”

Her gaze focuses, adjusting, and when she recognizes me she climbs onto my lap, straddling me and holding on like she can’t risk letting go.

I stroke her hair again, steadying her.

Rage flashes hot in my chest-so sharp I want to drag that asshole king back from the grave just to kill him a second time.

“Whenever you want to talk, I’m here,” I whisper. “I’ll listen. Okay?”

She doesn’t answer right away, but her heartbeat begins to slow.

“Can we leave the lights on?” she asks, small.

“Yes,” I tell her immediately. “Of course.”

My hand runs down her arm, gentle, while she lays against me.

I want every detail. I want names, times, methods-anything I can use.

But not yet.

Not until she’s ready.

“The room was always pitch black,” she says, barely above a whisper. “No windows.”

So I hold her.

And I listen.

She tells me everything-how he confessed to killing her parents, what he planned,

what he wanted from her at his side. Talon wants out, wants blood, wants vengeance.

But this isn’t about revenge right now.

It’s about being here.

It’s about letting her speak until the fear drains out.

She talks until her words blur and she falls asleep again.

I tell her I’ll watch over her. I promise there will always be light.

She curls into me, and I stay awake until her breathing turns into soft snores again.
