Chapter 402

When we get to Aiden’s pack borders, I howl the howl of attack and Lucas howls a second behind me. We race into his pack lands, barely having anyone to fight until we circle around to the border than Aiden shares with Robin. That’s where all of the warriors are and that’s where we rush in, taking them out on two sides and eventually meeting in the middle.

As soon as the warriors are down, Kayce grabs Aiden by the throat.

I shift quickly, looking at Rodion holding Aiden’s wolf down on the ground.

“See what he knows. I’ll check the packhouse,” I say.

Even as I run inside, I know Nikki’s not here. I didn’t see Camden or Koden fighting outside. They abandoned their Alpha and their pack. I don’t know if they’re together or not, but they will die, just like Alpha Aiden will die, for what he’s done.

When I find the packhouse empty of the three of them, I walk back outside, seeing that Kayce has shifted and so has Aiden, his neck bloody from where Rodion was holding his wolf.

“She’s not here,” I say to Kayce.

Reese snarls, punching Aiden in the face and knocking him out. He stands over him, his body heaving as he breathes heavily.

I watch Kayce’s eyes go unfocused. “My warriors lost the trail. We have no idea where Camden has taken Nikki.”

I knew Robin was going to attack. I just knew it! That’s why I have all warriors on that border. I knew Kayce would join him so when the howl of attack goes up, I’m not surprised, but I’m pissed to find that Camden once again is gone.

‘Koden!‘

‘Alpha?‘

‘Get to the borders. Attack!‘

We were holding our own until Hunter joined the fight. Rather than coming through Robin’s pack lands, he circled around to where I don’t have any patrols, and he pinned me and my warriors against Robin and Kayce’s warriors.

‘Koden!‘

Those fuckers! I gave them a second chance and they betrayed me.

Kayce’s wolf, Rodion, pins my wolf, Barney, to the ground.

“See what he knows. I’ll check the packhouse,” Hunter says to Kayce. The fucker. Who the fuck put him in charge?

Rodion releases Barney and Kayce pulls the shift.

“Shift, you fucking asshole, or I’ll kill you.”

Barney snarls, but pulls the shift.

“What the fuck do you want?” I ask.

“Where is she?”

“Where is who?” I growl.

I notice that Robin isn’t here, but his Beta is. Reese’s wolf, Sid, snaps at me, barely missing my face.

“Stand down, pup!” I snarl, a moment before Kayce’s fist punches me in the face.

“Where is she?” he snarls again.

“Who the FUCK are you talking about?” I yell at him.

“Nikki! Luna Nikki!”

You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. Koden was right and I didn’t listen to him. I knew Camden was obsessed with her, but I didn’t think that he’d betray me and the pack for her. How wrong I was. And now, Koden has also left me.

“I don’t have her,” I say, knowing that the two of them have left me to die. I’m not sure if Koden knew what Camden was planning or if he just realized that things were about to go very, very wrong, but I’m alone and I‘ m going to die.

Reese looks behind me and shifts.

“She’s not here,” Hunter says from behind me.

I’m on the verge of telling him that I just said that when Reese punches me so hard that he knocks me out.

When I wake up, I’m in a cell.

“There he is,” Dutton says. He’s standing with Ezra and Jake, the new Alpha of Owen’s pack.

“Planning to kill me like you killed Zahn?” I ask them.

“No.” Ezra says. “There will be no trial for you, Aiden. Your pack

members were involved in the kidnapping of a Luna. There is no greater sin that you could have committed.”

“I didn’t take her!” I yell.

“Your Beta did, and as his Alpha, you are responsible for the actions of everyone in your pack.”

“Then bring him to me and I’ll happily kill him for betraying me,” I say.

“Well, we can’t find him, which means we can’t find Luna Nikki,” Dutton

“Did you find Koden?” I ask them.

“Nope. Looks like he betrayed you too.” Jake says smugly. Fucking asshole. He’s not even a real Alpha.

“Well then, I guess it won’t matter if I betray him. You’d better tell that Alpha female bitch that her days are numbered. Koden wants her. He’ll probably fuck her in front of her entire pack until he gets her pregnant…”
