“Robin,” Allison says, touching my arm. “I know you’re afraid for her. I am too. The Alphas all went out looking for her, joining Kayce once Brianna was born, and Hunter who came the moment Kayce called him. We know that Camden set Aiden up to take the fall. He’s still alive, Koden is gone. Camden is gone. He got in a car, and they’ve been trying to figure out where he is and where he could have taken Nikki without anyone knowing. Aiden’s warriors are dead, and the others are in our cells until we have time to figure out if they’re worth saving.”

I know Reese will look after the pack. “Where’s Aiden?”

Allison looks at me a moment. “In our cells.”

“I’d like to see him.”

I can tell she doesn’t want to let me see him, but she knows I need to. “Kayce doesn’t want me near him, but I’ll have a warrior take you.”

“Thank you.”

Chapter 407

When I get to the cells. I have the warrior open the door to Aiden’s cell and I walk in.

“Where the fuck is my mate?”

“Like I told the others, I have no fucking clue. Camden betrayed me.”

“You’re the fucking Alpha. You’re responsible for your pack and their actions. So, I’ll ask again. Where. Is. My. Mate?” I snarl.

“I. Don’t. Know!” he yells.

I punch my fist into his chest, wrapping my hand around his heart. His eyes go wide as I lean in to him. “Then I guess you’re useless to me. Dutton can thank me later,” I growl, ripping his heart from his chest.

The look of shock is still on his face when his dead body hits the floor.

I walk out of the cells.

“Robin, where are you going?” Allison asks me.

“To my pack. I’m going to find out where they’ve looked for my mate and then I’m going after her,” I say, ignoring the pain that is pulsing throughout my body.

I haven’t gotten far when Alpha Amelia comes striding toward me. She looks me over, her lips pressing together tightly, obviously not liking what she sees. I’m not sure if it’s the blood on my arm and hand or if I look that bad. I don’t care. I need to find Nikki.

“Alpha Robin…”

“Alpha Amelia, you know I need to…”

Fire ignites in my body. I scream, clutching my mate mark and falling to the ground. It feels like my body is burning.

I find myself talking to my unborn son more and more frequently. Pleading with him actually. I can’t face my mate again if I don’t protect our pup. Our son is everything to Robin, and to me as well. I’m an Alpha female. I’m supposed to be strong; strong enough to keep my pup safe.

I’m not sure how long I’ve been here now. I was hungry for a while, but that has passed. Camden isn’t feeding me, trying to make me weak. That may be because he’s trying to kill my son, or it may be because I snapped his knee when he tried to rape me.

He punished me by removing the cloths from around my wrists. The silver has made them a bloody mess, but I refuse to go down to this asshole. He‘ s tried to mark me several times, and he’s even started trying to put his scent on me. He’s smart enough to stay far enough away from me, but he ripped my clothes off when I was unconscious, locking my arms to the floor and locking my legs so they’re spread open.
