“He’ll want to leave some behind to protect his pack, but still, you’re talking about fifty plus warriors that will attack.” He looks at me. “I’m sure you want to be there, Jacqueline, but you need to stay here. I need my Beta female here to protect my/mates, while my Beta is away, fighting for our allies. And I need Miles focused and not worrying about you. The more distracted he is, the more likely he is to get injured. He’s a strong Beta and a good fighter. He’ll be okay.”

“I need to be there, Nikki,” Robin says. He’s been pacing in our room ever since he sent his warriors to Alpha Calvin’s pack.

He stops, looking up at me. “If he shows his fucking face, I want to be the one to kill him. He deserves that after what he did to you and to us.”

“What if he decides to come here, Robin,” I ask, not wanting him to go rushing off with a vendetta. I can feel the turmoil in him. He’s so focused on killing Camden that he might just get killed by someone else, like Caleb.

“Then you’ll kill him, Nikki. I have no doubt that you’re more than capable of killing that little asshole,” he growls. “I want him gone. I want to be free of that fear that he’s still out there, trying to hunt you
