What did it mean to dump her halfway down the road?
If he was going to see Connor, he should have just said so! Connor had just invited them out for drinks, so they could have easily brought her along. They had a great impression of Leonie Everhart. When Connor was hospitalized, if it weren't for the Everhart family's heiress, how would they have had the energy to take care of him? Besides, Leonie didn't act like a spoiled rich girl at all. She was incredibly good to their friend.
In their hearts, they already saw Leonie as Connor's girl.
Leonie was fuming.
Connor Kaufman had a lot of nerve. He actually had the leisure to go out drinking with his buddies. She was going to settle the score with him later for leaving her stranded on the side of the road.
At the bar, the friend who drove Leonie brought her to the location. The VIP booth was already half-full of people.
Connor had arrived early and already finished a round of drinks when he heard the guys talking next to him.
"Connor, why didn't Leonie come with you? Haven't you two been inseparable lately?"
"Who's inseparable from her? I only went with her because I wanted to see Gwyn."
The guy next to him clinked glasses with Connor.
"Connor, that's messed up. She took such good care of you when you were in the hospital, and you're still hung up on someone else's wife? The heiress of the Langford family from Starfall City is already showing her baby bump, isn't she? You still haven't let it go. You don't seriously want to raise another man's kid, do you?"
"Even if Connor wanted to, Mr. Everhart wouldn't let him. Haven't you seen how Mr. Everhart treats his wife like an absolute treasure?"
Connor downed a huge gulp of liquor.
"If you all think she's so great, then you consider her. Whoever likes her, I'll play matchmaker. Just pay me a matchmaking fee once it works out."
"Come on, Connor. That's just cold. We can all see that Leonie is genuinely good to you. If she didn't like you, why would she put so much effort into taking care of you?"
Connor rolled his eyes at the guy.
"So if you end up in the hospital and a woman takes care of you, you're going to marry her? There are plenty of nurses at the hospital, but I don't see any of you bringing them home."
Leonie walked over just in time to hear Connor saying those exact words.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge
I can’t even read this sickening story anymore, this couple didn’t even get a chance to be really happy before their marriage was torn apart. It had been dragged out long enough....
If Gwyn gets an abortion I am going to stop reading this story, I believe in pro-choice but come on. Why can't he just tell her what he is really doing with Patti instead of letting her think she is a mistress....
Why no updates? It’s been so long! Pls update....
