He still remembered passing by his uncle's study and asking for it once, but he never got a response.
Today, Marcus grabbed him by the collar, made him stand directly under that model car, and gave him a vicious thrashing.
Connor grimaced in pain from the strikes.
"Do you know why I've never let you into this study since you were little? Take a good look at this racing model. Do you remember it?"
The corners of Connor's lips curled up, a painful smirk drawn out by the searing sting of the strikes.
But he maintained his flippant attitude.
"You know perfectly well that I lost my memory, yet you're still talking nonsense to me."
Marcus's face couldn't possibly look any darker.
"Because you lost your memory, I'm making you remember right now. I bought this model myself. Do you know where the original car is? That was the only memento Gwyneth's mother ever left for me. You snatched it away and gave it to Gwyneth."
And so what?
Connor didn't dare voice that question out loud.
This was the first time his uncle had laid into him like this. It taught him the true meaning of agonizing pain.
Marcus tossed the cane at Connor's feet.
"If you ever dare joke about my romantic affairs again, don't blame me for disregarding our family ties."
When Marcus laid down the law so ruthlessly, Connor shrank back a little in sheer intimidation.
So the old man was finally capable of getting angry, huh?
Connor was ordered to kneel under the model racing car in the study for the entire night. When Marcus came to check on him the next morning, he found Connor sound asleep on the floor.
Marcus's eyes dimmed slightly, and he finally had the staff bring a blanket to cover him up.
Then he had someone carry him out of the study and dump him in the guest room to sleep.
Marcus stood silently in front of the model car. The memories of him and Victoria Turner were likely remembered by him alone now.
And the man who possessed his goddess was trapped in an eternal slumber.
He stood in silence for a long time before answering a call on his phone.
"Well?"
"Mr. Green, I'm sorry, but based on the current scope of medical knowledge, there is no known method to improve Mr. Langford's condition."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge
I can’t even read this sickening story anymore, this couple didn’t even get a chance to be really happy before their marriage was torn apart. It had been dragged out long enough....
If Gwyn gets an abortion I am going to stop reading this story, I believe in pro-choice but come on. Why can't he just tell her what he is really doing with Patti instead of letting her think she is a mistress....
Why no updates? It’s been so long! Pls update....
