Celia didn't touch them either. She just stared at Leonie with deep curiosity and asked softly, "Are people in Greenvale just immune to sour food? We only use these as garnishes for steak or roast turkey."
It took Leonie a moment to realize they were completely mistaken. She doubled over with laughter. "What are you talking about? These aren't lemons. Have you ever seen a lemon this big?"
She handed them each a slice. "These are Sunstone Ridge oranges. They're incredibly sweet, juicy, and smell amazing."
The two exchanged skeptical looks, wondering if Leonie was pulling a prank on them. But seeing her happily devouring slice after slice, Chris tentatively touched one to his lips. He let his tongue brush the dripping juice and found that it was instantly sweet—a rich, perfect sweetness without being cloying.
He took a tentative bite, then devoured a massive chunk.
"Aren't oranges supposed to be, well, orange?"
Leonie laughed. "There are all kinds of varieties. Don't worry, I promise to only feed you the good stuff."
People always talked about a fish out of water when the poor met high society, surrounded by dizzying luxury. But it turned out wealthy heirs could make fools of themselves just as easily when thrust into normal life.
Chris was cautious at first, but once he got a taste of the flavors, he held nothing back.
Leonie's dipping bowl was filled with peanut and sesame sauce. He grabbed it, intending to dunk his meat, but she stopped him.
"Didn't you say you're allergic to peanuts?"
Chris glanced over at Celia, who had just finished her mango smoothie. A faint pink rash was forming around her neck, but she looked perfectly fine and was already eyeing a second glass. Steeling his resolve, he said, "It's fine."
Sesame and peanut sauce paired with the sizzling hot grill meat—one bite and the rich aroma practically sent Chris to heaven.
He threw caution to the wind and feasted. The three of them were soon sweating from the spicy heat, eating like there was no tomorrow.
If anyone from Starfall City recognized the prestigious Langford heirs looking like this, they would never have believed their eyes.
Leonie made sure they ate until they were stuffed. Just as it was time to pay the bill, a waiter brought over a complimentary dessert.
A pair of distinct, elegant fingers caught Leonie's attention. The hands were long and beautifully structured. She couldn't help but look up, only to be surprised by how breathtakingly handsome the server was.
He looked like a high-end catalog model, but with an underlying edge that made him seem far more dangerous.
"Can I get you ladies anything else?"
Seeing Leonie and Celia staring at him, he didn't show an ounce of shyness. Instead, he offered a charming, knowing smile.
Leonie was the one feeling embarrassed now. She stammered out, "N-no, we're good."
Remembering that Leonie was currently clashing with Connor Kaufman, Celia decided to intervene. She looked straight at the server and asked, "Can we get your Facebook?"
Leonie stared at Celia in shock. The heiress of the Langford family hitting on a waiter? Was she serious?
She nudged Celia's shoulder. "Are you into him? Your family would absolutely lose it."
Celia offered a faint smile. "I noticed you staring at him. Why don't you add him? You don't have to date him. Making a new friend never hurts."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge
I can’t even read this sickening story anymore, this couple didn’t even get a chance to be really happy before their marriage was torn apart. It had been dragged out long enough....
If Gwyn gets an abortion I am going to stop reading this story, I believe in pro-choice but come on. Why can't he just tell her what he is really doing with Patti instead of letting her think she is a mistress....
Why no updates? It’s been so long! Pls update....
