The regular chefs had been given a few days off. Hawthorne had poured over nutritional guides online and consulted dietitians, custom-tailoring a daily menu specifically for her pregnancy and constantly switching up the recipes to keep her happy.
In just a few days, Gwyneth had been nourished to absolute perfection. She was noticeably curvier, with a soft, radiant glow to her cheeks.
The bracelet on her left wrist was practically stuck. Yet, Hawthorne showed no signs of slowing down his feeding schedule. Occasionally, he would gently pinch her cheek, claiming she was still too thin to handle the baby.
The couple's life right now was incredibly peaceful and blissful. Hawthorne practically spent his days rotating around the kitchen to make her meals.
Gwyneth's belly had grown considerably, and her feet were slightly swollen, but Hawthorne had hired a professional masseuse to come in for two hours every day to keep her circulation flowing.
Mr. and Mrs. Everhart would drop by in their free time to chat and keep Gwyneth company.
Whenever she saw Hawthorne in the kitchen cooking for Gwyneth, Mrs. Everhart couldn't hide her utter shock.
"We thought this boy would never find a wife. We always assumed he was just too clueless to know how to spoil a woman. Who would've thought that the moment he met you, he'd turn into the perfect husband?"
Mrs. Everhart was the most surprised. At first, she thought her own husband was the gold standard. As his sister-in-law, she had always fretted over Hawthorne like a mother, deeply stressed that he remained a bachelor for so long.
Hawthorne's age ticked up year by year. His peers already had two or three kids, yet he didn't even have a prospect. Mrs. Everhart had even considered having her husband stage an intervention.
She used to think he lacked the romantic gene entirely. Some guys were so clueless they had to take dating classes. Now, she realized she had a model husband right in the family who could probably teach a masterclass on how to love and spoil a wife.
"Does Hawthorne cook for you every day?"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge
I can’t even read this sickening story anymore, this couple didn’t even get a chance to be really happy before their marriage was torn apart. It had been dragged out long enough....
If Gwyn gets an abortion I am going to stop reading this story, I believe in pro-choice but come on. Why can't he just tell her what he is really doing with Patti instead of letting her think she is a mistress....
Why no updates? It’s been so long! Pls update....
