The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge novel Chapter 894

Guests rarely visited. Since moving into his sister's place, Dorian had never brought anyone home—until Leonie and her friends.

Instead of barking to chase the three strangers out, Lucky was vibrating with excitement, zooming around the house like a hyperactive puppy who had never seen new people before.

Dorian could only shake his head. If an intruder ever broke in, Lucky would probably wag his tail and happily follow them out the door.

Leonie asked, "Don't you have to work today?"

He gave Lucky an affectionate scratch behind the ears. "It's actually my day off. If there's anywhere you want to go, I can show you around."

Chris and Celia immediately panicked. They had already stayed out all night, and they had no idea how their older sister was going to react when they finally got back.

"We'll pass. Leonie, shouldn't you head home too?"

Leonie brushed them off with a noncommittal hum.

Dorian added smoothly, "You should probably go home and at least let your parents know you're safe. Otherwise, they might think I kidnapped you.

Plus, that guy of yours is definitely going to keep showing up over the next few days. Do you really think he's going to let this go?"

Celia pulled Leonie aside, lowering her voice. "Leonie, we only told you to hang out with him to make Connor jealous. Please don't tell me you're actually falling for him."

Even though Dorian was sunny, handsome, and clearly not hurting for cash, Celia couldn't shake the feeling that something was slightly off. She warned Leonie not to get swept away by the facade.

Leonie laughed and looked at her. "Alright, I get it. You guys head home."

Leonie thought Celia had a point—making Connor jealous was exactly what he deserved.

"Where the hell are you, Dorian? Felicia has been looking for you all day! No one here knows how to handle her. Get your ass back here right now, or she's going to tear this place apart!"

Dorian held the phone to his ear, his gaze fixed on Leonie as she fed dolphins in the distance. "I have some personal business to handle. I can't make it back today. Figure it out yourself."

"Don't you dare burn your bridges with me! You came to this city from the middle of nowhere. Who do you think sets you up with these rich clients? Don't be an ungrateful bastard. With your eye color, people just assume you're of European descent. Nobody knows you actually have albinism.

Get your ass over here right now. If Felicia actually loses her temper, we're all screwed. Just keep her happy today, and I'll give you whatever you want."

Dorian's tone remained icy. "Sully, I signed a contract to work for the club, not to sell my soul to you. I have my own life. I'm not coming in today. Smooth things over with Felicia, and tell her I'll see her tomorrow."

Before Dorian could even hang up, Sully started screaming again. "Damn it, Dorian! If you don't come back today, I will end you!"

Dorian brushed off the threat completely. "Try me."
