The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge novel Chapter 908

When Connor arrived, he pulled into the outermost spot, which had clearly been left open specifically for him.

Leonie sat in the passenger seat, looking at him with mild curiosity.

"Are you racing too?"

Connor's lips curled into a confident smirk.

"I brought you here for the thrill, so obviously I'm taking you on the ride. Did you think I just wanted you to watch? Don't worry, you're perfectly safe. Just trust your boyfriend's driving."

The word "boyfriend" slipped out of his mouth so naturally that Leonie physically paused, wondering if she had misheard him.

Was he actually acknowledging her? But Leonie wasn't ready to cave just yet. The flowers he had bought were unceremoniously tossed into the back seat.

When the referee's flag finally dropped, the cars shot forward like bullets fired from a gun.

The flowers Connor had bought couldn't withstand the force, flying out of the basket and swirling frantically around the interior. The petals caught in the wind, creating a chaotic but undeniably romantic storm inside the cabin.

The evening sunset seemed to chase the roaring engines as they tore through lap after lap. Unsurprisingly, Connor crossed the finish line in first place.

Leonie fully experienced the rush of speed and adrenaline. When the car finally skidded to a halt, she was still buzzing, her head spinning with an intoxicating euphoria.

Connor looked at her pure, unadulterated joy and knew he had finally made her smile.

"How was that? Want to go again? You drive this time. I'll take the passenger seat."

Leonie looked at him and vigorously shook her head.

"Don't even try it. I have no idea how to handle a race car, and I'm not looking to die tonight."

"I'm just messing with you."

It was definitely too dangerous for someone with zero training to handle a modified beast like his.

Connor stared at her for a moment before suddenly grabbing her, pulling her tightly into his chest, and crashing his lips against hers.

It was Leonie's first real kiss.

Connor clearly knew what he was doing, holding her face securely as he shifted angles, deepening the kiss until Leonie's mind went completely blank, entirely losing her sense of direction.

The crowd around them immediately started cheering and whistling.

It wasn't until Connor finally broke the kiss that Leonie processed what had just happened. Her first kiss had just been stolen, and she sank back into her seat, completely mortified.

Leonie let out a muffled groan against his chest. Some things were meant to stay private. You don't put on a live show just to give people something to gossip about.

"Can you be reasonable for once? Are you planning to make out with your girlfriend in public for the rest of your life?"

He might have no shame, but she certainly did. The Everhart family had a reputation to uphold in Greenvale. If her parents found out she was making out with some guy on the side of a canyon road, they would have an absolute meltdown.

Especially with Connor's bleached blonde hair, anyone who didn't know him would think she was dating a gang member.

Connor's brow furrowed tightly.

"I just wanted everyone to know you're my girlfriend, so what? You had no problem dragging Dorian around town. Why weren't you embarrassed then?"

The moment he brought up Dorian, Leonie snapped her head up and shoved him backward.

"Connor, are you out of your mind? My relationship with Dorian is completely platonic. Stop projecting your own twisted insecurities onto us!"

Leonie immediately started scolding him, leaving Connor no choice but to surrender.

"Alright, fine. I won't bring him up anymore. I'm sorry I kissed you like that. But now everyone knows you're my girlfriend. Are you happy?"

Without another word, he scooped Leonie up into his arms, kicked the car door open, and stepped out into the crowd.
