The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge novel Chapter 909

Connor's friends were all standing nearby, watching them expectantly. Connor swept a cool glance over the group and ordered, "What are you staring at? Say hi to the boss's lady."

"Good evening, ma'am!"

The synchronized shout caught Leonie completely off guard. She wanted to dive back into his chest and hide, but Connor refused to let her retreat.

He held tightly onto Leonie's hand. Ever since stepping out of the car, her face had been flushed as red as a ripe tomato.

Leonie playfully swatted at his arm.

"Alright, that's enough. If you keep this up, I'm actually going to get mad."

She couldn't even tell if she was happy or furious. After shooing his rowdy friends away, Connor pulled Leonie back into the quiet sanctuary of the car.

He parked the car by the side of the road, watching the sunset slowly fade over the horizon.

"You know how I feel about you. I brought you here to prove a point. I'm willing to claim you in front of everyone. Are you finally satisfied?"

Leonie stared at him, her lips parting slightly. "What are you talking about?"

Connor met her gaze. "Isn't it obvious? You were icing me out because you felt I didn't respect you enough. Now I've made it completely public. From now on, you're my girl."

The color visibly drained from Leonie's face as the realization set in. She finally understood exactly why Connor had put on such an elaborate show.

A deep sense of disappointment washed over her as she looked at him.
