The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 1026

"Callahan, how... how did you get hurt this badly?!"

Letty gasped, clapping a hand over her mouth as tears immediately flooded her eyes.

Back at the estate, Letty had been so laser-focused on Dante's collapse that she hadn't even noticed her son was injured.

She reached out, her hand trembling in the air, terrified that even hovering too close would cause him pain.

"What on earth happened in Northern Myanor?"

"How did it get this bad?"

Callahan hadn't expected his mother to catch him in the treatment room. He had specifically sneaked off while Dante was distracted to avoid exactly this kind of panic.

"Mom, it's fine. The worst is over."

"It looks way worse than it actually is."

If Letty was this hysterical just seeing the wound, she would probably pass out if she knew the full extent of what they had barely survived.

Truthfully, the arm looked drastically better than it had when they first escaped the factory.

After they broke out, Callahan had known they were sitting ducks, so they laid low for a while to recover. With a top-tier medical team and Leilani constantly monitoring him, it had been healing well. But seeing Dante unconscious on the couch had sent him into such a blind rage that he had completely forgotten about his arm.

While they spoke, the nurse picked up a pair of forceps and began cleaning the torn flesh with antiseptic.

Callahan didn't even flinch. It was as if the brutal wound belonged to someone else.
