The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 1056

Ethan looked up at the towering glass walls of the skyscraper, his expression entirely business.

"We're ready to move in," a young detective murmured, stepping up beside him.

Ethan gave a curt nod. "Stick to the plan. Keep it fast and efficient. Priority targets are the executive suite and the core financial department."

"Copy that!"

The team moved swiftly into the building. When Ethan flashed the warrant, the remaining Sherwood executives looked furious but had no choice but to comply.

A wave of panic rippled through the office. Employees whispered in hushed, nervous tones as police tape was strung across key access points.

Ethan personally led a small team into Fitch's opulent, sprawling office. His sharp eyes scanned every inch of the room—the massive mahogany desk, the imported leather sofas, the towering bookcases.

Everything was immaculate. Too immaculate. It had the distinct, sterile feel of a room that had been deliberately sanitized.

"We've tossed the desk and the file cabinets," a detective reported. "Nothing but standard corporate proposals and dummy contracts. The real ledgers aren't here."

Ethan didn't reply. His attention had snagged on a heavy bronze vase resting incongruously in the corner.

He walked over and crouched down. Near the base of the sculpture, barely visible against the polished wood floor, were faint scuff marks. Gripping the cold metal, he applied pressure, testing it before twisting it firmly.

A soft mechanical release echoed in the quiet room. The massive bookcase beside it silently slid open, revealing the dark maw of a hidden panic room.

A vile stench of burnt chemicals and scorched metal immediately rolled out, hitting them like a physical blow.

Ethan's eyes hardened. He threw up a hand. "Hold up! Everyone mask up and get your gloves on!"
