The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 182

"As for Mr. Dillon... when you go in later, speak less, listen more to what he asks. Your answers should be concise and professional. Whatever you do, don't try to show off. Although Mr. Dillon looks serious, if you get on his good side, he's actually quite easy to talk to. Good luck."

After speaking, the middleman took a deep breath, plastered a flattering smile on his face, and knocked gently on the door.

“Knock. Knock. Knock.”

"Mr. Dillon, excuse the interruption..."

Floyd's impatient voice came from the room, "What is it?"

The middleman bowed slightly, his tone even more respectful. "It's like this, Zane mentioned to you before that he wanted to recommend a top medical university graduate. You looked at his resume and said he could come for an interview. That gentleman has arrived. Do you have time now? If you're free, shall I call him in for you to interview?"

Floyd and Leilani were in the heat of their discussion, so he was a bit unhappy about the sudden interruption. He thought for a moment and remembered there was indeed such a thing. Since he had already promised, it wouldn't be good to cancel at the last minute, let alone make someone wait outside.

Floyd cast an apologetic look at Leilani. He would have to trouble Leilani to wait for him for a while.

Leilani initially intended to leave and wait elsewhere. After all, it wasn't appropriate for her to be present for an interview for Mr. Dillon's team.

Floyd saw her intention and pressed her back into her seat. He told her it was just a small interview for a minor position. She could stay and interview the candidate with him, to see if this 'top student' was the real deal.

Seeing that Floyd didn't mind, Leilani sat down naturally to wait for the person to enter.

Zeus stood in the hallway, listening to the faint conversation coming from the room. His fingers unconsciously rubbed the cuff of his suit, his gaze fixed on the closed door.

The interview hadn't even started, and he had already made a massive fool of himself. Zeus's expression went beyond merely looking bad.

Leilani looked up and glanced at him after hearing the commotion.

Surprisingly, she didn't show any mockery at the joke Zeus had made of himself. Her eyes were as cold as if she were looking at a stranger. She was pretending not to know him.

The middleman didn't notice his odd behavior and respectfully introduced Zeus to Floyd.

"Mr. Dillon, this is Zeus Sloan, an attending physician in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Alloy City General Hospital. He is a high-achieving graduate from a top medical university..."
