The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 774

"Dad!"

Sitting nearby, Josiah screamed and lunged forward to catch him.

The boardroom erupted into absolute chaos. People were shouting; someone scrambled to call for an ambulance.

Fitch watched the panic with cold detachment. He slowly stood up and casually adjusted his suit jacket.

He leaned over to his assistant and murmured, "Go get security to maintain order. Make sure things don't get out of hand."

With that, Fitch bypassed the frantic crowd and strolled down the hall toward the luxurious executive office at the end of the corridor.

Hackett's secretary desperately tried to block his path. "Mr. Sherwood, aren't you taking this way too far? This is the Chairman's office! Mr. Sloan is being rushed to the emergency room because of you, how can you just—"

Not a single ounce of remorse crossed his face.

The secretary was entirely bewildered. How could Fitch, a man who had supposedly aided them through thick and thin, turn into a ruthless shark practically overnight? With Hackett's life hanging in the balance, Fitch wasn't just unfazed—he was shamelessly stepping over the body to claim the throne.

Fitch threw her a dismissive sideways glance. "If Hackett's heart couldn't handle the stress, that's his problem, not mine. Besides, did you not hear me in there? I am the controlling shareholder now. By all rights, this office belongs to me."

"Since you're the former chairman's assistant, do me a favor. Pack up his personal belongings and bring them to him at the hospital."
