Eyes heavy with drowsiness, Zora let her lids droop and let out a soft little yawn. At his words, she blinked in surprise, her eyes glistening faintly, never expecting him to invite her to stay

over.

“You can stay at my place. I won’t charge you any rent,” Leighton leaned down and spoke to her gently, meeting her wide, astonished eyes. “In return, help me fix my health, alright?”

“Stay with you and treat you?” Everyone including Hallie stared at Leighton in utter shock the moment he finished speaking.

“Yeah. Zora can ease my insomnia and help me get my body back in shape. Rest assured, she’ll never be wronged while staying with me.” Leighton nodded calmly amid their stunned stares.

Leighton’s long-term insomnia had always been a huge worry for everyone, and his sudden statement instantly drew all their attention.

The warm smile faded from Chet’s face, replaced by a serious look.

Leighton held out his wrist for him to examine.
