She was certain Leighton would never harm her through clothes; she could easily sense if anything was off.

“You’ve been staying at my cousin’s place lately. Has he ever lost his temper with you? Did he get you upset at all? If things aren’t good, you can come stay with me instead.” Hallie still doubted Leighton’s gentle side.

“He treats me really well actually.” Zora felt confused as to why Hallie was so skeptical of Leighton.

It seemed everyone around them found Leighton’s kindness utterly unbelievable.

Yet when she pictured his handsome features, she understood why. With such striking looks, he never needed to put in any effort to win people over.
