The Real Heiress's New Family Adored By All novel Chapter 276

Chapter 276 Future Study Plans

“I’m just average…” Maya held her steady, worried she might slip and fall.

She was also kicking herself for hiding her test paper too late.

“Maya, you’re such a show-off.” Zora’s tone sounded slightly resentful.

If her brain was ordinary, what did that make Zora? Total airhead?

“Zora, no one can keep up with Maya’s grades. Don’t compare yourself to her. Just admire her.”

Hallie patted Zora’s back gently to comfort her.

The school had recruited Maya with a huge scholarship. She was in a league of her own.

She always ranked top three in the whole grade, constantly swapping first and second place with Kian.

“Next to you, I look like half my brain got eaten by zombies.”

Zora slumped forward and rubbed her cheek against the desk, pressing her face close to Maya’s test paper, hoping to soak up some of her luck and smarts.

She was really envious of that perfect score.

“The desk is cold.” Maya slipped her hand under Zora’s cheek to cushion it.

“Zora… which country do you want to study in after graduation?”

Easton and the others laughed at her dramatic reaction.

They rarely saw grades as extreme as Zora’s.

Most students at this school came from wealthy families and paid their way in, but they still had decent grades overall.

They just weren’t as talented as the top geniuses recruited from all over the country.

Zora’s case was truly one of a kind.

These were already her improved scores after Maya tutored her. Her grades would’ve been a total disaster without the extra help.

Studying abroad was really her best option.

With her family background, going overseas for college would be effortless.

“Mevoria, probably.” Zora fell quiet for a second.

She thought back to her days in the countryside.

Her grades had always been terrible back then. Her teachers would call her in and say she was hopeless and could never amount to anything.

Every single time, her mentor would come pick her up and tell her not to take those words to heart.

He always said she didn’t need to worry about the future, that he had everything covered, and she just needed to be happy.

She still remembered the day her mentor suddenly asked her a question after bringing her home.

“Do you want to go to Mevoria someday?”

Now that her mentor was gone, Zora had no idea what her future held.

Her grades were terrible. She could never get into a good college on her own.

Paying her way into an overseas university was basically her only option.

“Do any of you know which schools in Mevoria accept students with financial aid? How much does it usually cost?”

Zora knew almost nothing about foreign schools. She needed to plan early.

She had to figure out the total cost and how many medicinal herbs she needed to sell to save up enough money.

“Zora, if you want to go to Mevoria, I’ll ask Mom right away. I’ll go with you.”

Hallie’s grades were just average, and she was definitely planning to study abroad after high school.

The idea of going to Mevoria sounded pretty great once she knew Zora wanted to go too.

“Mevoria?”

Maya silently noted down Zora’s choice.

She could try to get a guaranteed admission spot there.

“If you all go overseas, only the rest of us will stay here. My brother won’t let me leave the country.” Easton frowned, looking troubled.

“Felix only has his older brother to rely on. He definitely has to stay in the country to help run the family business.

“Maya can get into any top domestic university she wants. She even got an early acceptance offer back in tenth grade. She doesn’t need to go overseas at all. We’re all gonna end up separated in the future.”

“Hey, don’t be so glum. It’s still super early. Even if we leave, it won’t be until the second half of the year. And we can still meet up afterward.”

Students whose families allowed them to study abroad would leave in the latter half of their senior year.

Jolie hadn’t been coming to school lately, and everyone knew the Knox family planned to send her overseas too.

Attending classes now served two purposes.

First, it let them build connections with other kids from wealthy families.

Second, it helped them keep up with basic coursework.

Whether they understood everything or not, they needed general knowledge to adapt to overseas study later.

“It just sucks thinking we’ll be apart someday.” Easton’s mood stayed down.

“We can always fly back and visit each other whenever we want.” Hallie didn’t seem bothered at all.

“You’re right. Transportation is super convenient now. We can just fly over to see each other on breaks. Besides, graduation and departure are still far away.”

Easton finally cheered up a little.

“Zora, I’ll tell Mom to come for the parent-teacher conference this Friday.”

After school ended in the afternoon, Hallie walked Zora home.

“Will Mom be mad?” Zora asked hesitantly.

“Mad about what?” Hallie looked confused.

“My test scores,” Zora pressed her lips together and mumbled quietly.

She was dead last in her class.

Hallie’s grades were average, but she still ranked within the top fifteen students.

Zora didn’t care much about her own rankings, but she worried the adults would be upset.

Wendy and the others had looked at her with obvious disdain after seeing her old grades before.

She really did study hard, but knowledge just never stuck in her head.

Everything went in one ear and right out the other.

“Don’t worry about it, Zora. Our family doesn’t care about grades that much. We only care about being happy.

“Everyone has things they’re good at and things they’re not. No one is perfect.

“We can’t do half the things you can! Your medical skills are incredible.

“You’re also amazing at playing the harp. You have so many talents of your own.

“You’re awesome in your own way.”
