Chapter 310 Fighting to Save Floyd
Right now, Floyd was the top priority. If Wendy stayed in the room, she would only rile Opal up even more.
They’d send her away for the time being. That didn’t mean they’d let what happened slide. Once they confirmed Floyd was safe, the Knox family would answer for their deeds.
Kicking Wendy out was way better than hauling her straight to the police station.
Holden and Anton pulled Wendy up off the floor and yanked the carpet fabric out of her mouth. She broke into harsh, violent coughs.

Her legs went weak. Holden and Anton dragged her along, her feet barely touching the ground.
“You’ll all get what’s coming to you!” She glowered at the Marlows behind her, her eyes full of
venom.
In an instant, Jensen grabbed a fruit platter nearby and hurled it at her.
“Get lost!”
The platter hit her square in the face and shattered. Sharp shards sliced open her cheek.
“Ah!” Wendy screamed in agony.
“Mom!”
Holden and Anton winced. They never thought she’d still spew such nasty words.
They set aside their anger toward Jensen and wasted no time dragging Wendy out. If they stayed any longer, they’d get trapped here too.
Zora and Kian both wore grave looks.
“Zora… do you have any way to save him?”
Opal stood beside the sofa. One glance at Floyd lying there with his eyes shut, and tears streamed down her face.
The broken shard stuck to the back of his neck had been removed, and the wound was all bandaged up.
“Grandma, I’ve got a plan. Don’t worry. I can save him.”
Zora dropped to one knee on the carpet. She stuck acupuncture needles one by one into his

“Alright… alright. I trust you.”
Opal dug her nails into her own hand, struggling to hold back her grief.
“Zora, how bad is Grandpa’s condition?”
Jensen knew Zora studied under Asher, so he put full faith in her skills.
“Jensen…” Zora couldn’t lie to him. Floyd was clearly in critical condition.
“Mr. Marlow, the medical team is here.”
A server pushed open the private room door. A group of medical staff stood outside, along with the hotel manager, who looked utterly panicked.
If something terrible happened to Floyd on their premises, the hotel’s future would be on the
line.
“Please wait outside for a moment.” Jensen’s gaze stayed fixed on Zora’s moving hands.
“Understood. We’ll stand by right outside. Call us anytime you need help,” the manager replied quickly.
Zora kept her composure. “Jensen, I need a quiet room.”
It was best not to move Floyd any more than necessary in his current state.

“Grandma, let’s step outside first and let Zora treat Grandpa.” Jensen stepped over and held Opal’s arm.
“Can’t I stay here?” Opal refused to leave.
“If you stay, Zora will keep worrying about you. She won’t be able to focus fully on Grandpa.” Jensen spoke softly to soothe her.
“Zora. I’m leaving him in your hands.” Opal’s eyes glistened with tears as she looked at Zora.
“I won’t let you down, Grandma.” Zora nodded firmly.
“Reed, help Grandma out.” Jensen gestured for him to escort her away.
“Got it,” Reed answered in a hoarse voice.
“Zora, what are your odds?”
Once Opal was gone, only Jensen, Leighton, Kian and Zora remained in the room, along with

the unconscious Floyd.
Zora felt his pulse steadily. “To be honest, fifty percent.”
“Fifty percent…” Jensen’s heart sank.

“Kian, what are the survival chances if we send Grandpa to the hospital?” He turned to ask Kian
next.
“If we rush him to the hospital now, we’ll lose precious time on the way. His survival rate will drop to just thirty percent,” Kian said, his voice thick and rough.
“He’s advanced in years and has a heart condition. Surgery would be way too much for his body to handle. Conservative treatment is his best bet.”
Surgery posed far greater risks given his age and heart problems.
Everyone watched as Floyd’s complexion slowly stabilized after Zora inserted the needles.
“Zora, we’re counting on you,” Jensen said in a low, solemn tone.
“He’s my grandpa too,” Zora replied earnestly.
Jensen knew exactly how high the stakes were now and got ready to leave.
“Do your best, but don’t push yourself too hard. We can figure out other options if things go wrong.”
Leighton had stayed quiet this whole time. He walked over to Zora, bent down and rested a hand gently on her shoulder.
A strange, uneasy feeling gnawed at him for no reason. Kian’s grim expression made it obvious how severe Floyd’s injuries were.
What method was she going to use to pull him through?
“I know.” Zora licked her dry lips. “Please head out first. Grandpa’s condition is critical. I have to start the next round of treatment right away.”
